Covent Garden Flowers, Wednesday

There was a flower shop here. Peter had missed it on a previous wandering pass due to the distraction of the shop across the street, but once he was over that, it was difficult to miss; the windows were covered in greenery. After so long in a world where nothing green grew, he couldn't resist a closer look.

Unfortunately, when he walked in, he discovered that the lush green jungle had been caused by the few potted plants taking over the shop, while the cut flowers were long dried out.

Well, if the place were deserted, there wouldn't be anyone to mind him just standing there, running his hands over the leaves and breathing in the scent of growing things. Unless the plants themselves did.

"Hope you don't mind," he murmured to them, feeling a little silly. "I can pick off your dead leaves, if it helps."

He found a garbage bag in a back room and started doing just that. If he were going to be fondling them anyway, he might as well be nice about it.

[Open post! Peter will own this place now, he just doesn't know it yet.]
