Tony
All Tony wanted this weekend was a nice, quiet time to sift through shipping manifests. It was mindless work, but it was distracting.
That, of course, meant something terrible was bound to happen to him. Because his luck was the absolute worst these days. For some strange reason. It was like someone wanted to see him in pain...
Weird.
Super Gross Aliens
The bad luck came in the form of a trio of brood bursting in through the door. There was the Queen, with tentacles at the ready, and she was flanked by two sleazoids, and none of them looked very friendly.
Hi, Tony.
Tony
Which was why JARVIS set off the alarms in the shop. When had he had time to install alarms? Never-mind that now. "...you have got to be kidding me."
Gross Alien Queen
The Brood weren't at all fazed by the alarms. They heard a lot of them, usually right before the screams started.
"Get him," the Queen hissed, and the other two immediately advanced on Tony to try and grab him with their tentacles.
Tony
WHAT DID TONY DO TO DESERVE THIS? WAIT. DON'T ANSWER THAT.
"Nope," Tony decided, throwing the nearest electronic component at them and making a break for the armory.
Goddamn Brood
They had exoskeletons and interior skeletons, you think some electronics was going to hurt them? The two took after him, with one reaching the armory just before Tony should be able to get there.
Tony
...maybe? He wasn't a xenobiologist, okay?
"Wow, are you ugly," Tony said, skittering to a stop and backing up. Yes, distract the crazy aliens with your wit, Tony.
Still Gross, Still Brood
"Just wait," the closer one said, wrapping a tentacle around Tony's middle to yank him into the air.
Tony
Wait for what? What was he waiting for?
Probably the tentacle yanking him away. That was it, wasn't it? Tony did the sensible thing and punched at said tentacle, struggling to free himself. Yeah, about now he wished he kept that whole 'breathing fire' part of Extremis.
Brood Queen so majestic
The fire would have been a good move.
The Queen advanced with a tentacle poised, and she came very close to stabbing him with it... and then she paused.
And then she ran the tentacle almost lovingly against his face instead.
Tony
OH GOD, WHY.
"What."
Brood Queen with good taste
"I have other plans for this one," the Queen decided. "He goes back to the ship with us."
Tony
"I strongly object to plans," Tony replied, renewing his struggles to escape. He was getting some Veranke vibes here and in no way did he like it.
The Brooooood
The Brood that had him hit him hard in the side of the head, because he'd be easier to transport like that.
Tony's day was just going to get worse from here.
[What? I amuse myself sometimes all the time.]
