Magic Box, Sunday, 05/03
It was an absolutely perfect spring day, so Anders had the store doors and windows wide open today to air the place out a bit. Books and herbs did tend to get musty after a while, much as he adored their scents.
He passed most of the morning doing nothing in particular; a bit of cat-doodling here, some box-unpacking there, a few invigorating minutes fighting on the phone with the enchanted candle supplier about why the last crate he'd shipped over had been full of pumpkin pie spice-scented candles with no magical resonance whatsoever.
Over his lunch break, he listened to the radio broadcast and his demeanor changed. Starsmore wasn't the type to say something was important if it wasn't, and Alluka had raised his concerns just enough that ... well. He bolted down the rest of his salad and hung the Back in 15 minutes! sign on the shop door before heading out.
