Mike's birthday last Saturday had been pretty good. It'd given him a great reason to flee the island after the graduation ceremony. He'd even managed to find someone he'd hit it off with - enough that he hadn't even gotten back until Monday.
Of course, he'd been all about work since then, but still! It had been a good birthday weekend. He was still happy about that.
