The Perk [Sunday evening]

Anakin had been on the island in the morning for something completely unrelated to alternate universe children (Juliet liked the chocolate donuts from JGOB best, and Anakin was a sucker, okay), but he'd felt the uptick in Force-strong presences immediately ( Read more... )

Raven just happened to be going to the Perk that evening, because she was in need of some very strong coffee herself. And hot chocolate for Elizabeth and Eirene.

When she saw Anakin she froze for a minute because awkward until Eirene detached herself from her hand and squealed, "Great grandpa!"

Raven let out a sigh of sudden relief. And then looked even more confused. Wait, that Anakin? She hadn't even met him yet.

Anakin blinked. "Um."

Eirene scampered over and held up her arms for a hug. "Hi!" she said. "Where's Dad?"

"She is Eirene, my daughter, and the daughter of your namesake," Raven supplied helpfully.

"I have not even met him yet!" Raven said. "I know Fandom is fond of unlikely children, but...." She gave him an apologetic smile. "I hope I do not make you feel too old by making you a great-grandfather."

Give it a few years and he'd have kids showing up calling him great-great-grandpa?

"I am glad she was able to see you, at least," Raven said. "Though hopefully I will finally meet your grandson as well so that he might meet Eirene. I have heard him mentioned on the radio, but we have never run into one another."

She was probably never going to mention this to Tahiri.

"That will be an interesting introduction," Anakin said. "'Hi, I'm Raven. Here's your daughter.'"

"I do not think awkward begins to describe it," Raven sighed.

Thank you, Fandom. But at least it wasn't as awkward as she had first feared.

"I think we need to come up with a word that is the level above awkward that only seems to apply here," Anakin decided.
