The Beach | Afternoon | Sunday | March 28

Mar 28, 2010 09:46

For the past five days, the citizens of Fandom had been thoroughly assaulted with mindbending fog and various grotesque creations that could only come from the mind of madman. Today, that was going to be seen as child's play. When the ground started to shake and the ocean started to churn, no one could have expected what emerged from the murky ( Read more... )

Of course, GODZILLA is going to be surrounded by other monsters. This is a place for all people that are not involved in the GODZILLA finale to continue fighting and to gawk at the big giant monster.

Ashley had been kind of loving this week, despite the whacked out fog giving her weird-ass hallucinations. She had been handwavily out fighting as much as she could handle and when she caught sight of the huge ass monster on the beach, she felt the need to make her way down there to help however she could.

There was a rather energetic monkeypony charging Ashley from behind, kicking up sand and flailing its arms wildly as it did. If those arms hit the woman, all the better.

[wasn't sure if you wanted a monster so feel free to engage or ignore!]

One of the 'improvements' Ashley had received from the Cabal was sensitive hearing but she somehow doubted she actually needed it where these creatures were concerned.

She whirled around in a ready stance, blocking one of the arms easily even as another landed a blow on her cheek. She didn't let that stop her from throwing a kick at one of the creature's legs though.

[thank you kind monster!]

The kick only stumbled the monkeypony for a minute before it was whirling around, swinging two vicious backhands towards Ashley with methodical accuracy.

Ashley missed her mom a lot right now, but the lessons she had grown up learning were well ingrained and she managed to block both backhands this time while looking for another opening to attack the creature.

The monkeypony wasn't only strong in its arms. It also had a strong set of legs and those legs were rearing back right about now, trying to punt Ashley away from it.

Damn. Ashley knew that Fandom was pretty open minded but she really hadn't ever planned to use her Cabal-given powers in public.

But when her options were to do that or get the shit kicked out of her by some science project gone wrong, well.

She teleported out of the way of the kick and landed behind the monkeypony, throwing a fast kick of her own at the thing's back.

The monkeypony made a sound of protest, stumbling forward before righting itself and turning in the direction Ashley had reappeared. It growled, teeth bared and spittle dripping from one corner.

And then it charged again, sliding off to one size of Ashley only to try and clothesline her with one strong arm.

That was going to leave a mark Ashley realized as she hit the ground hard.

Of course, if the stupid monkeypony tried leaning over her, she was ready to plant her feet somewhere on its body and give it a hard push.

The monkeypony wasn't going to try and lean over her, not a chance. The monkeypony was going to try and rear up and then bring its heavy hooves down on Ashley's ribs.

There was no way in hell Ash was letting that happen. She gathered her wits about her enough to teleport again, this time putting a little bit of distance between her and the creature.

As soon as she was on her feet, she pulled out a gun and pointed it at the thing. Of course, she had no idea what weak spot to aim for or if it would even hurt.

The monkeypony had a few weak spots. A big one was presenting itself in that the creature was momentarily confused as to where Ashley had gone. It whirled around, trying to find her before moving to run at her.

That moment of confusion was all Ashley needed to open fire.

She aimed the first bullet between the creature's eyes and followed up with a second aimed at where she was guessing a heart might be.

The monkeypony hadn't covered himself up when he'd been charging so those bullets caught him dead on and sent him down in a screeching heap of pain.

He twitched a few times and then was still.

Okay, well. That was good to know.

Ash walked over and kicked the thing with the toe of her boot, just to make sure it was dead.

Once she was sure, she went looking for more monsters to handwavilykill.

[Thanks! I know you're busy so she can fight handwavily now.]
