This was probably not a good idea at all. Still sore from two days ago, with a moon all too quickly waxing toward full, Angua was in the streets again in her most efficient prowling mode, trying to cut through the fog still and locate the source of these strange creatures, especially they didn't look as if they were going anywhere else any time ( Read more... )

There was something in front of Angua, using the fog to disguise itself. Of course, that was the only thing it was using because it was growling ominously as it clawed its way through the thick fog to find something, anything, to destroy.

Angua always liked growling. It was a very effective method of communication. Right now, it was communicating to her to get her nose off of the monkeyponies and onto the lizard thing instead.

The fog. She totally blamed the fog for the fact that, as soon as she picked up on the growling, she jumped slightly. Slightly back and then braced herself firm on the asphalt and, starting low and building up, growled back.

That sounded promising to the creature's ears and it turned in the direction of the growling, beady eyes searching through the thick fog even if it couldn't see. Its large tail swished back and forth as it started moving towards the sound, teeth bared, claws sharp and cutting through the fog.

Big, Angua could tell, through the cohesion of her heightened senses even in the fog. And the frosty blue of something cold-blooded, which meant no monkeyponies this time. What new ridiculous creature charged for her through the fog now?

Well, she was about to find out, as she, too, charged forward, barking to head her leap up toward where she assumed the head would be, ready to claw, or bite if necessary.

Mitchell would've considered heading home quickly today, since he doubted anyone would be particularly motivated for a meeting today.

But he felt somewhat responsible, and so he was - for a lack of a better word - patrolling the streets again, shooting glances here and there that betrayed some nerves.

A wolf was the last thing he was expecting.

And, as Angua was getting frustrated with the fact that she seemed to keep catching on the same trail over and over, the last thing she was expected was a vampire.

She made a sound that was the wolf equivilent of a grunt. Even in this ridiculous fog, you could smell them like a bloody annoying bomb of undead.

She let out a bark, something of warning, though what she was warning him of, the monkeyponies or herself, she wasn't one hundred percent sure.

... See, he should feel lucky that she wasn't the kind of werewolf Mitchell was used to.

He squinted, then wrinkled his noise. It was a familiar scent, though. It meant he was going to pause in his tracks and look... far, far up in the sky.

No moon.

"...Hello?"

Now he felt like an idiot.

...Angua was not rolling her eyes, really. Since she couldn't exactly say 'hello' back or anything, she barked again and tried to get a good scent of intent underneath all this weird creature, strange fog, and...bloody vampire.

She felt she was able to discern enough that she didn't feel too bad about padding forward, keeping low, watchful, and ready. Even if he didn't have any ill intent, he was still a vampire, and the hair still rose on the back of her spine like needles.

After taking one last call Reese went out to patrol. She was definitely not loving the fog. Her hand had yet to leave her sidearm.

She paused, hearing footsteps, not leaving anything to chance Reese pulled out her sidearm.

There was something skittering around behind Dani. Skittering and scampering, feet scrabbling through the dirt even as its arms cut through the fog to try and see who was close, who it could attack.

"FPD," Reese called out, eyes narrowing. "Identify yourself or I shoot."

Reese wasn't going to get any kind of answer. At the voice though, the monkeypony stopped, slowly turning towards the sound and setting itself up for a hard charge momentarily.

A sneak attack, a surprise beating, that's what it liked. For now, it was silent, keeping itself hidden in the fog.

Jake had the droid baby today, but that didn't mean it was going to stop him from checking out the fog after class.

"Look, if you don't shut up I'm not going to hear it if something does turn up," he threatened. Not that it worked.

Still, there was something off. It was as if the vampire scents had only gotten more poignant and if he were in wolf shape, his hackles would be up now.

And lo, a baby godzilla came lumbering down the street, roaring and thrashing his tail side to side. If Jake looked closely -- which was hard, given the fog -- he'd notice tiny wounds on the godzilla's skin, as if he'd been hurt earlier and hadn't had time to heal yet.

Jake's ears picked up and scent picked up on the creature before his eyes did and he froze. That... was not a monkeypony. Definitely not.

For a moment, he did nothing. Just stared and... "Crap."

No. Definitely not a monkeypony, Jake.

The creature roared again as Jake spoke, then reached out almost delicately with a claw, as if he intended to dash the robobaby to the ground. Killing the young was a time-honored tradition among monsters.

Annja hadn't been listening to the radio this week because she had been busy studying the manuscript she had rescued from Chiriqui over the weekend. However, it was Thursday and she realized that she had missed classes and now she needed to get to Coyote Medicine.

Stepping outside of the dorms into the fog immediately made her hands tense up as she could sense the sword pulling at her. Something was really wrong and she started to pick her feet up into a jog. She could get to the store and then try to figure out what was happening here -- and why the sword felt like it was even closer than usual.

Apparently, this creature wasn't going to try and surprise its next victim. It was going to come barreling out of the fog to the side of Annja. It whipped it tail immediately, striking out and intending to make this fight a short one.

This was not what Annja had expected and she was knocked to the side by the surprise attack. However, once she saw what had attacked her, she wasn't sure that she wasn't having some weird hallucination. As she got to her feet, she said the first thing that popped into her mind.

"No fucking way."

The creature didn't very much appreciate Annja and her foul mouth. Or maybe it just didn't appreciate that Annja was a putrid human. Whatever it was, the creature slung its tail back around, aimed right for Annja's face.
