The Streets of Fandom; Thursday [ 03/25 ].

This was probably not a good idea at all. Still sore from two days ago, with a moon all too quickly waxing toward full, Angua was in the streets again in her most efficient prowling mode, trying to cut through the fog still and locate the source of these strange creatures, especially they didn't look as if they were going anywhere else any time

Jake had the droid baby today, but that didn't mean it was going to stop him from checking out the fog after class.

"Look, if you don't shut up I'm not going to hear it if something does turn up," he threatened. Not that it worked.

Still, there was something off. It was as if the vampire scents had only gotten more poignant and if he were in wolf shape, his hackles would be up now.

And lo, a baby godzilla came lumbering down the street, roaring and thrashing his tail side to side. If Jake looked closely -- which was hard, given the fog -- he'd notice tiny wounds on the godzilla's skin, as if he'd been hurt earlier and hadn't had time to heal yet.

Jake's ears picked up and scent picked up on the creature before his eyes did and he froze. That... was not a monkeypony. Definitely not.

For a moment, he did nothing. Just stared and... "Crap."

No. Definitely not a monkeypony, Jake.

The creature roared again as Jake spoke, then reached out almost delicately with a claw, as if he intended to dash the robobaby to the ground. Killing the young was a time-honored tradition among monsters.

While Jake was anything but attached to Sedna, he wasn't about to let the droid get hurt on his watch. Reflexes were on his side and he jumped back just in time to avoid the droid desctruction.

"Your breath smells," he growled as he crouched low. His human instincts were telling him to run, but that'd involve more sense than he had.

[AFK for a wee bit as I have dinner.]

The baby godzilla was hurt by this. Really.

That was why he lurched forward again and roared as close to Jake's face as he could get.

Oh ew, baby godzilla spit. Gross

And Jake did the only thing he could do with the monster's face so close to his. He threw a punch at its jaw, using all the force he had like this.

Owwwwww. The punch connected, and the godzilla reared back as he let out a yowl of pain.

He brought his clawed foot out to kick at Jacob with all the force he had.

It was all Jake could do to curl himself around the droid as he was tossed to the other side of the street, slamming into a wall.

"That. Fucking. Hurt." He was shaking now as he crawled to all fours, Sedna lying on the pavement below him. He could feel the heat right down to the centre of his bones and then the boy was gone, replaced by an oversized wolf.

With a snarl, Jacob charged right at the monster to try to bring it down.

The baby godzilla was impressed; he had never seen a person do a trick like that.

And then there was a giant wolf charging at him and he stopped being impressed and started getting real trying to fight. He twisted, lashing out with his tail in hops of knocking the wolf back to where Sedna had been abandoned.

Jacob was faster now and he leapt to the side, narrowly avoiding the tail. It brought him a little behind the baby godzilla and there was an opening there to try and bite the thing in its ass.

The godzilla was roaring almost continuously now that the battle was more heated. His tail smacked around behind him, knocking Jacob back again.

This time it hit and Jacob was knocked back, huffing for breath. He wasn't even aware that he was growling in response and he circled the monster, looking for an opening but that tail was annoying.

An instant later he was charging again and he jumped up, trying to sink his teeth in the silly looking arms of the thing.

The monster hadn't expected that attack, and Jacob's teeth sunk deeply into his arm. He flailed at the wolf, trying to knock him down with his claws.

There was a muffled yelp as the claws ripped at his skin, colouring the russet fur rest. But Jake finally had a hold on the thing and he wasn't just going to let go so he sank his teeth deeper in.

Wincing in pain, the godzilla opened his mouth wide and let out an unearthly shriek as he flailed and tried to shake the dog off.
