Prom 2009 [Town Hall]

Apr 10, 2009 19:04

At some point in the evening, the prom court announcement was made.

After the court dance, the prom continued. Someone managed to spike the punch, there were still shadowy corners and the dance floor was still open to all. The chaperones were still there to keep an eye on things (and might be indulging in some spiked punch themselves).

God wouldn't have given you maracas if he didn't want you to shake them!

Joan and Marco headed out to the dance floor as a slow song started.

Dōjima hit the dance floor with a passion, ready to party the rest of the night away.

Miracle of miracles, a slow song started when Chuck and Blair decided to hit the dance floor. As if Chuck needed another excuse to grab onto her.

Chuck smiled as he placed a hand on Blair's hip. "The school does do pretty well with the music, I'll give them that."

Blair put her hand on Chuck's shoulder as they moved in time to the song. "It's not bad."

"It could definitely be worse," Chuck said. "They could be playing Fall Out Boy or something."

He better not be jinxing them again.

"You talk too much," Blair told him. Not that she was thinking of ways to shut him up.

"Why don't you shut me up then?" Chuck challenged.

Blair replied to that by kissing Chuck. Which, like the dress she was wearing, served the purpose of showing Chuck. Showing what she couldn't say.

Chuck definitely hadn't been expecting that. Wanted it to happen, yes, but he never thought it actually would.

There was a split second's hesitation (mostly his own surprise) before he slid the hand he had on Blair's hip around her waist and kissed her back.

Chuck was many things. This included being a good kisser. Blair had no problems with kissing him back. It was enjoyable and she rather enjoyed the drama of the gesture.

Chuck was able to kiss Blair back without thinking for a good couple moments. This was definitely what he wanted and the whole thinking thing was what prevented him from doing it before.

He was going to try to make the kiss last as long as possible before some inevitable something would ruin it.

Blair finally pulled back when things got a little too warm. Also she needed to breathe. She looked up at Chuck, trying to assess the situation even when her heart was racing. "What is this?"

She was open to any answer as she honestly didn't know.

Chuck shook his head slightly. "...I don't know."

He didn't want to stop, he knew that.

"I don't either," Blair admitted. Oddly she didn't mind being honest with Chuck about that. She tightened her hand on his shoulder. "We could keep dancing?"

"Yeah. That'd be good," Chuck said, nodding a little. He still kept his arm wrapped around her waist, not wanting to let her go just yet. He was still trying to wrap his mind over what had just happened.
