Juli had been keeping herself busy catching up on everything from home now that she was able to get news but, eventually, the walls of her apartment-smaller by far than her lab at home-had begun to get to her and so she’d made her was down to the Perk.
They made better coffee than she did, besides.
Settling herself at a table, she went back to work, making notes and formulating thinly-veiled orders to be passed out to people back home. Juli pursed her lips and shook her head slightly. No need to be feeling homesick, she chided herself, and she was effective enough here.
Though, a small part of her pointed out, you were more effective back home.
