Luke's Diner, March 17 (Monday)

Mar 17, 2008 10:34

Yitzhak was limping visibly when he came into the diner today, which had the unpleasant (or possibly comical, depending on how you chose to see it) side effect of him being poutier more sullen than usual. He'd sprained his ankle on the way back out of the Preserve last night after his impromptu victory dance around the angel statues (let it never be said that Yitzhak was not, inherently, a coward) and how could his beloved high heeled shoes turn on him like that? How?!? This was betrayal of the most egregious sort.

Determined as he was to wallow in indignant self-pity, he didn't really bother with much in the way of cleanup; a few of the napkin holders were empty, there were some unfortunate-looking splatters of ketchup on the floor where someone had given an uncapped bottle a vigorous shake, and there were tiny snowdrifts of sugar on various parts of the counter.

Today's Special
Devil's Food Cake

Yes, he was being passive-aggressively snarky after the fact. It was what he did.

Luke's is open . . . and kind of a mess.

lukes, yitzhak
