The Beach - Saturday

Haku made his way out to the beach, since it seemed a good place for him to find some peace.

He wasn't still emoing about Zabuza not coming, in fact he was starting to move away from his affections for the grumpy homicidal ninja.

Or at least so he told himself.

Which was good. Because Zabuza had no feelings about Haku more than wondering if he'd still been training.

Really.

He watched the other ninja from a distance, not sure about approaching him yet.

Haku slowly stood and wade his way down to the water, standing just where the waves came up and barely hit his feet.

"I should go find Teddy," he said to himself and stuck his hands in his pockets in a very boyish way. He was at least trying to be more boyish.

Emphasis on the 'trying'.

Zabuza frowned, rethinking his previous assumption that this Teddy kid was a non-threat to Haku.

He moved, silently of course, to get just a bit closer.

Haku sighed and sat back down on the edge of the shore, pushing the water back with his chakra so it wouldn't get him wet.

After they gone into the sewers and come out again, Katara made sure that Mel was all right and no one else was hurt too badly either before she escaped out of the dorms and headed down to the beach. The water would be relaxed and just the noise of the waves instead of the thrum of people talking would be nice.

Katara would see Haku down on the beach, struggling with a much larger man.

Or at least struggling to carry him. He looked up at saw Katara and waved. "Katara!"

She blinked then hurried forward. "Are you okay, Haku? Is your friend only?"

Zabuza attempted to straighten up, because damn it, he was not weak.

Stupid needles. Never should have taught the kid to use 'em.
