The Beach - Saturday

Oct 20, 2007 10:40

Haku made his way out to the beach, since it seemed a good place for him to find some peace.

He wasn't still emoing about Zabuza not coming, in fact he was starting to move away from his affections for the grumpy homicidal ninja.

Or at least so he told himself.

[Open for your beachy needs.]

After they gone into the sewers and come out again, Katara made sure that Mel was all right and no one else was hurt too badly either before she escaped out of the dorms and headed down to the beach. The water would be relaxed and just the noise of the waves instead of the thrum of people talking would be nice.

Katara would see Haku down on the beach, struggling with a much larger man.

Or at least struggling to carry him. He looked up at saw Katara and waved. "Katara!"

She blinked then hurried forward. "Are you okay, Haku? Is your friend only?"

Zabuza attempted to straighten up, because damn it, he was not weak.

Stupid needles. Never should have taught the kid to use 'em.

Haku blushed faintly, but not so Zabuza could see.

"Ahh... Katara, this is Zabuza. My uhmm.. old partner from home. I kind of might have paralyzed him with my needles," he whispered sheepishly to her.

Katara stared at him. "...why?"

Hey, it had been a long day.

Zabuza just grunted, looking away. Didn't need to explain himself to some kid.

Especially when it meant explaining WHY he got paralyzed. Damn needles.

Haku put Zabuza down with a gentle smile and lead Katara a little bit away, whispering to her. "Uhmm.. I was really angry at him? He told me he wasn't coming this weekend."

He was one of the Swordmen of the Mist! He did not get set down on the shore like a kid!

He glared at the pair, promising himself a horrible revenge that would never hapen if Haku gave him those damn puppy eyes.

She stared at Haku. "So when he showed up, you paralysed him? Wow, way to make him want to come see you again," she snapped.

Haku just smiled and shrugged. "He's the one who taught me how to do it, used to act like I was hunting him down to get him out of trouble. Normally it wears off right after I remove the needle, but I think I'm getting rusty and it was slightly off when it hit the nerve," he explained looking very apologeticly at Zabuza.

"You know about healing, don't you Katara?"

"Yes, I work at the clinic now too," she said as she started moving back to Zabuza. "Is it a poison or does the needle affect his chi?" Katara asked, pulling a stream of water from her still filled with holy water pouch.

Haku smiled. "Just chi. I don't use poison needles. It's not a fair fight that way."

"Should be easy then," she said. Katara looked at Zabuza. "Hold still, okay?"

Zabuza when in a different direction and grunted, looking from Haku to the new girl. "I'm fine."

Katara took a breath and focused on her water and the connection between it and Zabuza's chi. She was tired and it took a bit longer than it usually did, but she carefully cleared the blockage, focusing on making it run smoothly and evenly.

She lowered her hand and redirected the water back to the skin. "There you are."
