It was Tuesday, which meant Aziraphale was behind the bar at the Nest, polishing glasses and working a crossword all at the same time. And he was in a pretty cheerful mood, thanks to the recent departure of a certain crazy woman in pink.

Bel, with a wary glance around for Lucifer, walked into the Nest and headed to the bar.

Aziraphale smiled at Bel, and waved his hand toward a barstool.

"What can I get for you this evening, my dear?"

Bel slid on to the stool. "Um, a coke is fine," he said. He had legal ID to get alcohol, but somehow ordering it from an angel just seemed wrong.

"Are you quite sure?" Aziraphale asked, obviously having no qualms whatsoever about serving alcohol to a minor. Ask Kiki.

He did go ahead and get Bel's coke, however. He could always make a drink to go along with it.

"No, no," Bel said. "I mean, other than having to leave Friday. I wanted to talk to you because Phoebe told me something about you and Dr. Wilson helping her go to school."

Aziraphale frowned. This was an event that, despite knowing full well it was coming up fast, he'd been doing his best to hide from. He hated change, and hated people leaving him.

"Yes, I did tell Phoebe that. And James agrees with me. We don't want the two of you to have to struggle to make ends meet when you should be concentrating on your education and enjoying being young. We'll be pleased to help you as well, you know, if you need it. And as I told Phoebe, if the two of you feel more comfortable considering it a loan then we can work out some kind of repayment, sometime in the future when you're both on your feet."

"Wow, thanks," Bel said, fiddling with his drink. "I told Phoebe I would try to find some sort of job so she could go to school, but that really takes the pressure off."

Shaking his head, Aziraphale said, "Indulge your almost-brothers-in-law, and put your focus on university, not worrying over money. The only thing we ask in return is that the two of keep in touch, and let us know how you're doing. And, of course, let us know if there's ever anything you need."

"Yeah, of course," Bel said. "We'll come back whenever we can, too." He studied his drink for a minute, then added, "I don't know if I should go to college though. I mean, I don't really belong in a place like that. They don't offer Demon Thug 101."

"Well, that's the nice thing about college, isn't it? You can learn about anything you like, even if there's no real practical application for it."

Aziraphale leaned his elbows on the counter. "You go to college, Belthazor. You study something interesting and frivolous, and you enjoy yourself."

"I don't know if I can live around normal humans," Bel said. He may have been grasping at straws here.

The angel's eyebrow went up. "Believe me, my dear, it's a great deal easier than you'd think. Most people see the things they want to see, and rationalize away all the rest. Besides, you wouldn't be, would you? You'd be living around Phoebe, and probably visiting all the time with her family and the friends you've both made from here."

"Do you know of any demon schools?" Aziraphale asked, his expression showing that he thought this was a pretty thin sort of excuse.

"Only in the Underworld," Bel said. "And I can't really go back there again. Phoebe'll kill me if I even so much as think about it after what happened the other night."
