Jude's bags were packed and he was getting really kinda nervous about this whole going-to-Spira thing. And meeting Grampy Cid. 'Cause parents were scary. 'Specially when said parents don't know that there's a 'boy' in front of that 'friend'.

So he was a little distracted while he worked today.

The door burst open and a man in orange marched in as if he owned the place.

"Hey, KID!" he bellowed at the kid behind the counter. "Ya go to school here?"

Jude jumped at the precipitous entrance, freezing with a cloth in his hand. "Uh . . . yes?"

[sarcasm_guy]

"Well?" Cid demanded. "Which way's the dormitory? 'Oh, just land at the docks,' m'girl says, like it's easy to get to the school from there."

[dude_its_jude]

"You just go up the street and it's the big building at the top of the hill . . ." Jude swallowed. "Are you, uh, Cid?"
