Emo Beach [afternoon]

Anakin wasn't really paying attention to the weather--which wasn't precisely beach-friendly--as he perched on a rock and watched the waves crash against the shore.

His mind was whirling a little too fast with memories of what he had done--and who he was about to admit it to.

Since he was leaving for home early tomorrow, it was nice to be able to go out today, enjoy the weather.

He waved to Anakin as he approached. "Hey!"

Anakin returned the wave, but didn't smile. "Hi, John." His eyes tracked back to the water. "I've missed the waves," he commented.

"Got your message," John said, stopping beside him. "And yeah. But this place, you'd get expect giant, man eating sea monsters to live in it."

Anakin made a face. "Now I'll be worried about that when I go swimming," he said.

He took a deep breath, opened his mouth, then changed his mind. "How are you today?"

Faithful really, really hated sand. Which is why he was perched on some rocks behind Anakin. "Meow."

Anakin didn't jump, but it was a close thing. "Faithful," he said quietly.

Faithful made himself more comftorable by getting rid of as much sand as possible with his tail. "Anakin." He paused. "Among others."

Rory had been in a bit of a mood lately, to put it lightly. After making sure Luke was squared away after their clinic visit, she grabbed Vladdie and took him out for some much-needed air.

Vladdie being Vladdie, he got away from her.

"Vladdie, get back here," she hissed, trying to make out the figure in the near-dark as the puppy darted over to sniff at Anakin.

Anakin had buried his head against his knees and didn't move as Vladdie came over to greet him.

He wasn't quite composed enough to look at anyone.

Vladdie decided to take this as an invitation to have an animated conversation with Anakin's boots.

Rory sighed and strode over. "I'm sorry, he - " She stopped mid-sentence and just looked down at him.

Anakin visibly struggled to pull himself together.

"Hi," he said, voice shaky.

Rose wasn't being emo. She just liked the view. Really.
