The lack of sunlight, the pleasant sound of Umbridge's voice, and the slightly stale smell of breakfast were all important aspects to making every day in detention routine! He hadn't realized until the other day just how fragmented he'd let himself become over the years. But now, with Liara's help, he was scrounging around the edges of his self for pieces that he'd never allowed into the equation, and besides that low, seething anger that had been keeping him tethered in sanity, there was something else, too.
