The danger shop was set up quite differently today. Instead of the usual spooky lab, it was set up to look like a smokey warehouse filled with platforms and ramps and holey walls all over the place. Prof Tomoe beckoned the students over to a room on the side, where a desk had been set up in front of a curtained off area ( Read more... )

Not that it's much of a lecture, but hey.

Victor didn't even need to write this down. He knew in his heart, after all, that lasers are good. Death lasers are better. He was mildly disappointed that he didn't get to see a hyperdeath laser today, but one day that would change.

Death lasers! daimonhost September 11 2007, 03:20:33 UTC
Fire the death lasers at the dummies! Please try to avoid your classmates.

Just to see what sort of lasers Tomoe had at his disposal, Kabuto fired a few shots at the dummies. It wasn't nearly as satisfying as real people, but it was still amusing.

The death lasers were fun, but when no one was looking, or when he thought no one was looking, Johnny fired fast fireballs at the dummies, torching one of them. "Yeah! That's what I'm talking about!"

Ooops. His bad.

"I'll totally pay for that."

Cher stared at the death laser for a good long time before finally getting up the courage to attempt firing it from about three feet away. Good thing she had long arms.

Of course, as soon as she did (wildly missing the dummy, mind you), there was an "EEP!" and Cher decided she was done.

Pretend that you're mercilessly hunting down your classmates! Remember to get other players' permission before you do stuff to their characters.

Kabuto pushed up his forehead protector and suited up, picking up a gun. Too bad it wasn't a sniper rifle.

Sulley was big, blue, furry and kinda hard to miss. Still, he gave it his best shot.

Valentine was an excellent juggler. The hand-eye coordination that one needed to juggle was somewhat different from the sort of hand-eye coordination that one needed for laser tag.

Valentine had no peripheral vision, for example.

Valentine was going to lose horribly.

Really, he's happy that he hasn't had to do any actual teaching so far.

After class, Kabuto stopped by Tomoe's desk. His glasses flashed in the light, and he smiled. "If you need an assistant, I'd be happy to help," he said politely.

The Professor grinned a bright red smile.

"Ah, Mr Yakushi. You've been a good student. I'm fully willing to over you the TA position if you'd like, with the warning that I might ask you to help out with some future class lessons."

Kabuto shrugged slightly, still smiling. "I've no problem with that. I am not new to this field of study; though I do admit that since I've come to this school I've become a bit...out of practice in some areas." He couldn't do human experimentation on the students, sadly. The school board wouldn't like that very much.
