"Round One is the trivia round," Josh said, reaching into a bag to choose out the lucky team members for each side who had no idea they had been chosen.
"The students will be represented by Molly Hayes and Willow Rosenberg as the first pair, and Summer Roberts and Billy Kessler as the second pair. They will need all of their wits to defeat the dynamic due of the Doctor and Ms. Readman!"
Josh waited until the pairs had climbed onto stage before reading the first "trivia" question.
"Given the choice of turning into a weetiny bunny, a gremlin or one of the pirate's drunken squirrels, which would you choose and why?" He flipped the card over. "Huh. Apparently there's a right answer to this."

Molly leaned close to confer quietly with Willow. "I want to say a drunken pirate's squirrel, but that isn't an option. Are the squirrels really drunk? That would explain a lot."

"They aren't!" Willow said. "Sure the writing's a little weird but they don't have opposable thumbs! They do the best they can! Though maybe the idea is meant to be purely hypothetical for the competition? Like when people ask what books you'd bring with you on a deserted island, even though the odds of you getting the chance to pack for that are really pretty small?"

Door would've chosen gremlin. If the question had been about which she'd like to cuddle, it'd be a different answer, but she'd pick something with sharp teeth to be.
Re: React to Round One!connernotconnorNovember 17 2006, 16:36:19 UTC
Conner had to go with the gremlin on this one. What? If he had to choose one of the three options to be his Zord, nobody would take a thirty-story drunken squirrel seriously, and you couldn't have a thirty-story tall weetiny bunny.
. . . could you?
He ended up so preoccupied by mulling over that conundrum that he actually had no idea what the final results of the round were.
"That was certainly...interesting," Josh said diplomatically. "Moving on! Our second round will involve props and acting. God help us all."
He pointed towards three chests that were being wheeled on stage.
"The lucky contestants in this round are Eric Weiss and Alanna Trebond and Naomi Wildman and Zack Addy for the students, and Mr. Winchester and Principal Washburn for the teachers."
He waited until they had all arrived on stage before reading the next cue card.
"In your chests you will find tutus, five kilograms of handsoap, two kazoos and a live goat," he said, looking more and more disturbed. "Your task is to reenact your favorite scene from the Nutcracker using all of these prompts."
Re: Round Two! Eric and Alannaweissguy_November 18 2006, 05:25:05 UTC
"Negative on the goat," Weiss said. "Um, basic story of the nutcracker... girl falls in love with wooden toy, wooden toy comes to life, fights a mouse." Panic panic panic. "Don't make me wear a tutu."

What? She was a spy. The squirrels spy on people. It totally made sense.

He looked at Zoe. "Please don't fire me."
