As the students come into the classroom they'll see that Lorne is on the stage fiddling with the karaoke machine.

"Hey kittens! Sorry about class last week," Lorne said once everyone had settled in. ( Today we're going to talk about how music is used for various purposes... )

It did not escape Nadia's notice that Lorne seemed to seriously enjoy the second song. She tried not to think too much about that.

Why yes, he was trying to escape having to actually sing himself.

"Oh that's horrible. No wonder you're such a grumpy Gus," Lorne said shaking his head. "Obviously we need to do therapy. Everyone? Hug Zuchini!"

Lorne steps forward with his arms outstretched to give Zuko a big Pylean bear hug.

Zuko's eyes widened and wow, could the boy move fast as he was off and behind his seat in the blink of an eye. "Don't touch me."

There was a moment of hesitation which had more to do with what Lorne had said than with actually having to sing, then Zuko moved over to the stage. Reluctantly.

Parker's fairly on edge, and not wanting to sing. A lot. So she's desperately trying to think of a song, any song, that will be distracting enough that Lorne won't get a reading. At all.

Sam got a mental picture of Lorne as Barry White, seducing Tino by candlelight. And then she desperately wished for a brain scrubby, a concussion, or amnesia.
