The last staff meeting of the school year seemed to Zoe like it should be a more special occasion than the others.

That was why, among the usual pies, pastries, and drinks, there was also a moddable variety of alcoholic beverages for the teachers. You're welcome, Deadpool.

Zoe hadn't been able to figure out who bubble wrapped the furniture, so she had no choice but to take it all off herself. That was why the furniture was clean, but there was still a pile of bubble wrap by the table with all the food and drinks on it. She figured people might still play with it, but at least they could sit quietly.

At some point during the day, little decorative bags had appeared on one of the tables in the teachers' lounge, each with a staff member's name on it. In order to check on all of the teachers once the first week was over, Zoe had sent out a handwavey notice for the semester's first faculty meeting. The lounge had been cleaned and set up with coffee, tea, and a variety of offerings from J,GOB to entice people to come - and to get them to stay, assuming Zoe's gaze didn't do the trick

The tables and chairs in the lounge had been arranged for the faculty meeting, and there were plenty of snacks and drinks for everyone. There might have been a higher percentage of things that tasted like pumpkin and gingerbread than usual, but that was unavoidable at this time of the year.

The lounge was set up for another faculty meeting, with snacks and pastries and cold drinks and hot drinks and everything moddable between. It was important to cover all the culinary basics when you were dealing with so many different kinds of people.

The teachers and staff had all been handwavily notified that the first faculty meeting of the semester would be this afternoon, and even if they hadn't read the e-mail, the food in the lounge might have given away the fact that something was going on.
