He'd slept in, because it just felt good to sleep. He rolled out of bed around 10, let Cash out in the courtyard while he showered and took his meds with toast. The puppy was more than ready to come in, and House took a few minutes to play with him before heading into the clinic

Blair walked into the clinic, pulling banana bits out of his hair and looking for Dr. House.

He just happened to catch Hosue walking out of the back office, where he'd been giving Cash a little attention. "Hey, Tigger." he greeted Blair, and scanned the boy's very banana-laden appearance. Didn't monkeys like bananas? "Er, been hanging out with Mr Neilson?"

Blair sneezed and bounced sort of tiredly. "Hey, Dr. House!" Blair grinned at his nickname and pointed at his hair. "Actually, it was the librarian. He threw a banana at me when I called him a monkey. He's an ape."

"And the sneezing? Related to the banana?" House asked, glancing over Blair, looking for swollen eyes or nose.

Blair sneezed again and tried to bounce. "I think it's because I got wet yesterday during the water fight and then went to the freshman party on the beach. I had lots of layers and took three extra blankets but now-"

Blair sneezed and looked miserably at Dr. House. "I just feel bad."

"Hop on over to Exam One, and we'll take a look." House fished for Blair's chart, then joined him in the exam room. He's walkin a bit more evenly than he wa the other night, and leaves the cane propped against the wall by the door when he goes tow ash his hands.

Blair sat up on the exam table and watched as Dr. House got ready. "You're walking better today! Are you feeling better? Have you had a good day?" Blair bounced a little on the table and then paled. "Whoa...dizzy."

House put a hand out to catch him, just in case. "I see a man in town for a new age sort of healing," he explained. "I was a little over due for my appointment."

And he would hold out a little longer this time, and a couple more days after that. He wanted to build up a tolerance to wait a month between healings with Aziraphale.

"All right. Let's see." House tugged on a pair of gloves, and noted the results of temperature, blood pressure, and heart rate on his chart. He checked eyes and ears and throat, breath and chest sounds.

"Looks like you've got the flu, Tigger," he said after a moment. "Which means you've got a couple days of complete misery ahead of you."

Blair leaned against Dr. House's hand for a moment and then sat up. "New age? Does he do herbs and teas and stuff? That's usually what I use for when I don't feel good. Sometimes roots." Blair sneezed and watched Dr. House check things.

"Flu?" Blair looked at Dr. House curiously. "I had chicken pox when I was little and I lived in Italy and I had malaria in Paraguay and broke my arm when I fell out of a tree when I was living in the states. Is it like any of those?" Blair bounced again and blinked. "It's sorta, you know, weird when you move around." He experimented bouncing again and swayed.

"He's always giving me tea. The other stuff? I don't know. He's more a hands on healer." House quirked a brow.

"The flu is basically a cold. Just a little more aggressive. You'll feel tired, unfocused. Bones might ache. But we caught you early, we'll get you on some antibiotics and you'll be fine in a couple days."

"Like a witch doctor or shaman? That's awesome! Holistic healing is so much better for you and not as harmful to the environment and probably really relaxing which is..." Blair sneezed and looked at Dr. House. "Does he do flus?"

"Okay, antibiotics. Should I meditate too? Will that hurry it up? Should I not be around people or anything? What about Angel, he's a vampire? Will I give him the flu? Or...or" Blair sat up. "Sean! Can puppies get flus? Should I not hang out with them?"

House arched a brow at the mention of Angel. "No, they're both immune to human strains. You may not feel like hanging out with them, but it's totally up to you. Might want to keep your distance from regular people, though."

Blair nodded, relieved, then he clapped his hand over his mouth.

"Mmmpf mfpp msff?" Which was supposed to be 'what about you?'

House processed the most likely train of thought, and smiled. "I rarely get sick. Working with sick people, I take a lot of precautions."

Blair studied his face for a minute and then took his hand away, grinning. "That makes sense, man."

"I'm still going to classes though, right?" Blair glared at Dr. House, trying to intimidate into saying yes with his bad 14 year old self. "Cause I've got creature language tomorrow and it's really important that I go and learn how to talk to dogs and monkeys and dogs." Blair frowned at himself. "Did I already mention dogs?"

"You said dog twice. Unless you're puking, you can go to class. I can give you a note, just in case. Only good for tomorrow, though missing class the first week generally isn't a good idea if you can help it." House gave him a stern look.
