giving in

I was really tempted to fill this out using only the pairings that my and eulogytobiko's morning of playing with the Ace Attorney Random Pairing Generator threw out for me. I may do that anyway at some point.

Six Ships I Love
1. L/Light (Death Note)
2. Neku/Shiki (TWEWY)
3. Franziska/Ema (Ace Attorney)
4. Sephiran/Zelgius (Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn5. Klavier/ ( Read more... )

the world ends with you, ffviii, death note, meme, harry potter, fire emblem, ace attorney

I really need to play more Fire Emblems, because I do love the gameplay mechanics. I've only played the Gamecube and Wii versions, because it's only this year that I've really got into handheld gaming - I'd like to get hold of some of the GBA ones, though. And haha, I'm the other way round - I play my missions based on my ships ¬_¬ Making a particular effort to get Soren healing Ike, that kind of thing. But I do agree that a story sort of comes out in the experience of actually shifting the characters around - you end up narrativising the strategy elements, or at least, I do.

Hm, a trioshipper, eh? I've always quite liked the idea of that setup. I've never read much of it, but then I've never tended to read much younger generation HP fic anyway, tbh. My favourite Harry ship, though, is actually Harry/Luna - I never really thought it would happen, but it was still kind of irritating to see him end up with Ginny instead.

I love FFVIII, but like I said to miss_prince, I wonder if it's something of an acquired taste. I've explained that more in my comment to her, but I think in the end my hesitation in reccing it without qualifications, despite how much I adore it, is that I think my judgement of it's heavily coloured by nostalgia. I'd still say give it a go, though. I can't imagine summons being very conducive to makeouts, haha - although at least they're not like the special moves in Skies of Arcadia, where you'd have high-pitched voices yelling out PIRATES' WRATH at inopportune moments. And I can't imagine being able to keep a straight face if the "success!" FF end of battle theme started playing at any point, haha.
