giving in

I was really tempted to fill this out using only the pairings that my and eulogytobiko's morning of playing with the Ace Attorney Random Pairing Generator threw out for me. I may do that anyway at some point.

Six Ships I Love
1. L/Light (Death Note)
2. Neku/Shiki (TWEWY)
3. Franziska/Ema (Ace Attorney)
4. Sephiran/Zelgius (Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn5. Klavier/ ( Read more... )

the world ends with you, ffviii, death note, meme, harry potter, fire emblem, ace attorney

With pleasure: A Tithe To Hell :) Take heed of the warnings; idk what your squicks/triggers are, but it hits one of mine (knife/bloodplay), so I'm always a bit cautious about reccing it - it's also really explicit, which might put some people off, idk. It is astonishing, though - an object lesson in how to tell a really powerful story through sex; I'm horribly envious.

The tennis match makes me :D :D :D every time I've watched it. It is simultaneously made of massive win and massive lulz.

Knife-bloodplay = YAY so I'm happy to take that rec, ty. I don't have any to share back, the only DN stuff I have is doujinshi.

IT REALLY IS!

Haha, different strokes, eh? And I have to say, although knife/bloodplay is a huge triggery squick of mine (to the point of me being unable to watch it), the scene in A Tithe to Hell was so good and felt so completely important and non-gratuitous that it didn't at all throw me out of the story. So yeah, sounds like you'll enjoy :D

And that's cool; it was kind of a shot in the dark, tbh, given how hard I've found it myself to find anything approaching decent DN fics. Oh, Death Note fandom, why so alarming?

I'm reading it now, and my lord, it's perfect. Most of what I find are just terrible boy-meets-boy crap that doesn't acknowledge at all how Light thinks of himself. Aaaah ♥

I think so many writers don't appreciate just how difficult and layered Light's internal monologue would be, what with his constant posturing, the different levels of himself that he switches between on a daily basis, the different ways he constructs himself not just in other people's eyes, but in his own eyes - I think it would be easier to write from L's POV than Light's, and that's saying something. I was just so blown away by Aja's characterisation of both of them, though - the thought she's obviously put into how their minds work is staggering, and ime very, very rare in this fandom :s

I'm really glad you're enjoying it, anyway. I adored it, but I got the feeling when reading that it really wouldn't be to everyone's tastes, so I'm pleased it's to yours :)

So very true. It's usually such a boring portraying of him that I feel bad for the author's lack of understanding.
I was thinking in the last chapter that it would be interesting to read it from L's perspective too, but that would have given it away...but the huge sudden insight into what was happening made me feel so close to Light. His frustration, the panic, aaaah~ So I'm very glad that she did have to write it from his perspective to make it come across properly.

My god, woman. This is so 'my taste' that I feel like sending you a fruit basket or a cheese spread in thanks.
