The weather has been insane lately. We have had consistent rain for about a month now, and it is seriously fucking with my mountain biking. I figure it will dry up just in time for the temperature to be in the mid 90s, because spring hates me.
Marvel Comics has announced that they are raising their prices again. $3.99 for a comic book. Four bucks for a 22 page installment of a multi-issue story? That is ridiculous. It's a good thing I only read one Marvel title these days. I can't imagine how crazy expensive it must be for kids to follow one of Marvel's big event crossovers. Comics were 75 cents when I started collecting. And I'm not that old.
Cox, my cable provider, gave us a year of free HBO as a 'loyal customer' reward. Granted, they are a monopoly in Herndon, so it's not like I had other companies to chose from... but free HBO doesn't suck. Kim and I went straight to their On Demand service and have been watchng the full first season of True Blood. Holy shit, why didn't anyone tell me how awesome this show is? It's everything the WW World of Darkness should be but fails miserably at accomplishing.
