People post memes for music, but it's always something like individual songs or lyrics or such. I'm not a fan of .mp3s. First, because I can hear the compression, and second because I am not the sort of person who will only listen to one or two favorite songs from each artist. I love albums. They showcase the music as the artists intended it. They are a collection of the emotions and experiences of the artist when it was written, and the full album tells more of a story than any single song ever will. Plus, the B-sides and more unknown songs tend to be the better ones.
I thought I'd make a list of some of my favorite albums from the 20th century. This is in no particular order, and I have restricted it to one album per artist/band... otherwise I could just list the Beatles discography.
I'm sure I have forgotten a crapload. This is just what I could come up with while sitting around at work while on hold today, after all. The list is under the cut.
