Wednesday afternoon, Uncle Robert called up in the afternoon asking if he could help my dad out by taking one of the cars up to Columbia for servicing. Dad told him thanks but the cars are all serviced.
The next morning, he calls back and asks again but this time he adds this to it: I'll keep the vehicle for the weekend. To which my dad says, if they are serviced, I need the vehicle back the same day as I could be needing to show property in it, Bob. I cann't be without my vehicle for four days.
Robert hung up the phone soon after that. We all know why he was doing this, because Robert has a new girlfriend and he bragged that he'll be showing up in his Mercedes sports car for the girl's birthday. Now he has to come up with a huge excuse as in why the car is not in his hands. Robert just loves to brag about how he owns a Mercedes Benz when in fact the only one who does in this entire family is dad and the other two boys - Robert and Herb don't have the money to buy a Mercedes.
Robert wants to impress the ladies and yet when the ladies find out how bad he is, they dump him and he starts his search again. And when he finds one, he'll be calling us to borrow one of the vehicles to show off to his new girl which he states that the car is his and he's successful business person even though he's not and he doesn't own the car that he's bragging about.
All I can say is that he got us twice with this but we caught onto him when he asked us if he could borrow one of the cars and he later bragged about how his girlfriend loved the car. That was when we found out why he was asking for the use of our cars. And now with the gas so high, we barely if ever leave the house unless it is very needed.
Robert will not replace the gas that he used in our vehicles when he uses them, he would basically bring back a car that once had a full tank of gas with one that is almost empty. And with his over 400 pounds of weight, he damages the car seats on how he sits in them, he just plops down in the seat, he doesn't sit down gently, he plops down like the springs can handle his weight. He already broke the passenger seat of my dad's main vehicle that he uses everyday. Within the first 10,000 miles, Robert got into the vehicle with how he sat down in the seat, dad told him to sit down slowly, Robert just ignored his brother's comment and sat down hard in the seat. The next day, dad started to hear the sound of squeaks in that seat and knew that Robert had done damage to the seat itself, when informed about it, Robert didn't say sorry, he blamed the seat for breaking under him, I'm not responsible. When he really was responsible for damaging the seat itself.
Dad will not let him borrow anymore of our cars as he will not put any gas into the car and the way he sits in them is not very healthy for the seats themselves.
