splice, thriller, scifi. i saw this in a supermarket for £7.00 and thought hmmm. so i went down to video guy and he hooked me up with my date for the night. it was an ugly beast and its bedside manner was unhelpful at best. a more than likely beginning and background scenario made for a film that would scare the pants off me if i thought a little more about it. this is a romantic scifi story but the advances we've made in such a short space of time and the amount of money to be made from this makes it something all the more relevant. it comes with a caveat; this film is absurd, but it's only absurd because it wasnt made properly. the basic idea is alive and well and growing in the east somewhere. 58/100 IMDB
