So...  yeah. We were TTA, but not being super cautious because we were planning on another kid.... just not *right now*.  Unexpected but not unwelcome ( Read more... )

You can definitely have a condom failure and not know; my friend has a funny, adorable four-year-old to prove it!

Did you have any bleeding/spotting with your previous pregnancy? I don't think you could have conceived six weeks ago, since you had a pretty solid period starting September 29.

Have you seen those Clearblue Advanced pregnancy tests? They do a quantitative test and give you a number of weeks: 1-2, 2-3, or 3+, based on the amount of HCG excreted in your urine. Maybe that's worth a try? They're not as expensive as I expected them to be. Or you could do a blood test at your doctor's office for quantitative info.

I'm kind of thinking CD 23 looks like an ovulation dip, even though your CF doesn't get fertile-like til the next day. How soon after ovulation does your CF start to be creamy? Would that be a good indication?

I'm glad you're migraine-free, and I hope it's because you hit on a sweet diet/supplement combo and not just because of your surprise pregnancy!

Well, if it's true that there are non-obvious condom failures, I'll put my money on CD25, as that just seems more likely than the other options. CD23 does look like a dip, but I actually don't get those very often, I'm missing temps for CD24-25, and my CM usually dries up immediately after ovulation. No bleeding/spotting whatsoever with the previous pregnancy.

I definitely don't think it happened six weeks ago. I mostly wondered if *maaaaybe* CD19 might be in the running. Largely because I was unwilling to contemplate the possibility of condom failure. But those low temps after.... maybe not.

I might try the clearblue thing, just for kicks. It'd sure be nice if I DID finally hit all the right buttons to keep the migraines in remission!

First, congratulations! Unexpected babies can be a challenge, but typically bring many blessings.

If I remember right (I'm currently 9 months pregnnant, forgive the pregnancy brain) to confirm ovulation you need a temp that is .3 higher than the previous 6(?) I think I would pick CD27 as ovulation day.

My guess is also CD 25. I had stress-delayed ovulation once that presented with an entire week of mid-cycle spotting like that. I don't know if that's common or not, but I'm pretty sure that's what it was in my case.

I'd guess in the CD24-25-26 range; following those days you have an even upward trend going in your temps. It's the only section of the chart that doesn't look erratic and I'd guess it's the progesterone/hCG making it that way. I trust you're going to go for a beta draw, but even then, if it's early enough in the pregnancy, those results aren't going to be reliable for dating purposes (since the range for normal hCG levels in early pregnancy is so broad). I guess maybe a dating ultrasound, when you're further along? Using LMP in this case as a starting point to calculate due date isn't going to be helpful at all. :-/

I vote for CD25, but I would go for the dating ultrasound to find out for sure. Congratulations!
