i've used FAM while on effexor [though 75mg, not 150] for several months and i've also charted without it. i haven't noticed any significant changes in temperature between cycles on and off the medication, nor have i noticed any difference in CF. ack, gotta take care of baby but i'll write more later. if you have any questions, i'll try to help.

I swear I could of written this post! I have bipolar, bpd, and ptsd, and have been off ALL meds for about 9 months now, in preparation for everything. I also have the waking nightmares, and never thought about it affecting my temp. Since I haven't started charting yet, I'll keep that in mind. Good luck! :)

I know you posted this like 2 weeks ago, but I just saw it. Hope you get e-mail replies.

If your depression, etc is under control, you might think about Wellbutrin. I hate to sound like a commercial, but Welbutrin is less powerful, but still keeps it all under control, if you are to that point. It is not an SSRI, and is (supposedly) safer than SSRIs if you must stay on something while pregnant or nursing.

I was on Celexa for a couple of years before it started making me sick and went through Effexor, Zoloft, and Paxil before I figured out that it was SSRIs in general that were the problem. As soon as I got on Wellburtin, I felt less "medicated" and I've never had the withdrawals I got from missing a Celexa pill.

Welburtin is also supposed to have a low risk of sexual side effects, though I haven't noticed one way or the other.

I've also only been charting for a month. And for no good reason, as I am still on the Pill, so I can't tell you anything about how it would effect your temps.
