here we go...

video game news

in case you didn't already know, grand theft auto iv made over $500 million in its first week of sales, making it the most successful first week of any form of entertainment, ever. it has out performed first week sales of movies, books, and albums. it is the new jesus.

by comparison, halo 3, which previously held the record for largest opening weekend, made $200 million in its first week.

with all of this excitement going on over the game, some of you may want to dress like the game's protagonist, nico, for halloween. here's a how to guide.

also, gta iv might be gayer than you think. it's actually got a gay-related mission.
caution: violent ending - but you should know that with this game

before you get all upset about the ending, remember, this is only one choice that can be made in reguard to this mission.

the blog jockohomo writes: Damn, my ears perked up regarding the gay sequence, but surprise the play is handled brilliantly and with a great deal of humor thanks to acclaimed screenwriter Shane Black (Lethal Weapon, The Last Boyscout and The Long Kiss Goodnight). Per usual players can choose not the complete certain missions; i.e. main character Niko benefits later from a friendship formed with the gay mobster. Remember you’re playing an apocalyptic adult game where no demographic remains unscathed. While GTAIV walks a precarious line I have to give Rockstar Games props for not defaulting to the usual homophobic sequence filled with stereotypes."

tv news

the gay soldier plot was featured on grey's anatomy this week. i saw the episode and it was pretty good, though the ending disappointed me. however, i was impressed to learn that one of the guys playing one of the soliders was a former road rules contestant. maybe they aren't all fuckups.

here's a preview of tonight's brothers and sisters gay wedding (minor spoilers). i probably won't be able to watch it because i am living in the library today finishing my PACT. no fun.

in other tv news, the american remake of spaced has been axed. yay. now if only that could show up on netflix so i can see what all the talk was about.

movie news

it's offical: speed racer flopped, making only $20 million this weekend. the film cost over $100 million to make and was supposed to be one of warner brothers big cash cows this summer. sucks for them.

gay news

in a developing story from yesterday, here is a pic of model tyler lough from the new adult abercrombie catalog:
