there are murmurs in the california high court may be moving closer to gay marriage
actor luke macfarlane, who's currently on abc's brothers and sisters, which features some of the most normal depictions of gays on television in a long time, came out. what makes this notable is that he's a gay man playing a gay role, and as a series regular, no less, proving that you won't lose your career if you come out and/or play a gay role. he's also been romantically linked to both tr knight and wentworth miller in the past.
ideally, wentworth will come out within the next week.
additionally, a group of gay catholics protested outside the united nations this weekend against the pope's US visit and his anti-gay policies.
