FINISHED, MICHELLE, AND THIS IS JUST BREATHTAKINGLY AMAZING -FLAILS ARMS- AND I CONTINUE TO BE SPELLBOUND BY YOUR WRITING!

(Okay, I think I've used enough caps locks now!)

There are so many things that made me gasp and made me smile - especially where you pretty much corrected Collins's terrible plot holes. This I love very much! I love your interpretation of everything and it's what Mockingjay should have been. If I had to copy and paste every line here, this comment might go over LJ's character limit. Your writing's beautiful, and this style suits it perfectly!! ♥ Please write more Hunger Games fanfic. I am eternally your slave.

holy shit, this is insanely stunning. i actually cannot breathe. there is so much i love about this-- i love everything. the way you write everyone is so perfect and heartbreaking and gorgeous; the way you write panem, before and after snow; the style this is written in-- holy shit, i actually stopped and flailed my hands in the air after i finished reading it.

johanna fucking breaks my heart, with all her fire and her fury, and finnick is so broken and true-to-canon, and jesus christ, i love how you've written annie/finnick-- so fucked up and wrong and just aaaah ilu.

thank you so much for this.

I echo the "holy shit" mentality. I found it a bit hard to follow at times, but then it said "yes we know we're jumping around, this is a hard story to tell" and I was like "Yes. Yes it is. And the jumping just makes it more charming, because it shows that sense of urgency."

I can see how Finnick could truly love both Johanna and Annie. And how Johanna could hate him for it, but understand.

oh, wow. Such an amazing fic, you are my new hero. This whole story was so tragic and fierce and real in the best way- I loved how true you stayed to the characters, while expanding them at the same time. I loved that you didn't turn Finnick into a romanticized hero, but showed him as the messed-up, still caring person he is. I loved the writing style, and how you showed up the different parts of him and Jo's relationship. and the way you portrayed Finnick/Annie, with him loving both of them, and Johanna got it because she got him. two of my favorite parts are-

And he held her to him, her back to his chest, and she had sobbed, water everywhere, his hands everywhere, and she thinks she had said, “I love you.”

and

Oh, please know this: in the real world there is no poetic justice. Closure eludes us.

Sorry for the rant- but yeah, I LOVE this fic. You really gave these two the justice they deserved.
