I blinked at Cordy at her little outburst. She was like a butterfly at times. Seriously. One moment she was worried, the next she was accusing me of not working enough? Excuse me? I'm the one who got infected by this demon because *someone* needed to go out and bloody shop! And then when they did find a demon next, they didn't do anything ( ... )

Cordelia and I turned, surprised at Wesley's outburst, as Cordy's hands dropped from her hips. The door slammed accentuated Wesley's irritation, and I winced slightly ( ... )

Why the bloody hell was it so difficult to get my shoes on? Everytime I leaned forward silver stars were dancing in front of my eyes. And when I sat back up again, they were even worse. It was annoying and very irritating ( ... )

I didn't turn around as Wesley came out of the bathroom, instead listening as Cordelia went over to him, undoubtedly studying him to see if he was fit to go home or not. I watched the eggs for a second, then turned around, frowning ( ... )

What the hell was wrong with either of them pointing out my car keys. Or just hand them to me and say 'here are your car keys'. No, of course not. There was just no way I was going to get out of here without another lecture. Without another speech ( ... )

I put the pan with the eggs on a back burner, to let them cool as I leaned in the doorframe again, watching as Wesley fished his keys from under the bed. I wondered briefly how they had gotten there, before ignoring it. That wasn't the issue right now... the vaguely unfocused look in Wesley's eyes as he slowly rose was. He certainly didn't look like he should be driving yet ( ... )

Flinching when Cordelia put her hand on my forehead, I frowned. Which only made her frown back at me of course. Not to mention give me that overly concerned look again. I didn't bother with that though. My mind was still on 'you have a fever'.

I had thought that fever had gone down during the night. I recall going from freezing, to feeling as though I was being burned from the inside out. But I felt... Alright, maybe I was still slightly warm. But it was nothing compared to last night. I don't think I bath of ice could've cool me down then. Or a cool touch. Stop it!Wearily, I looked at them as they, once again, made the decision for me. More or less. Well, Cordelia did. In her usual, 'this is how it'll work, it may sound as a question but it's not, so get going buster!' way of doing things ( ... )

I smiled slightly when, belatedly, Cordelia got offended when Wesley accused her of 'nattering'. She didn't know what that meant, but of course she always knew when to be offended... that was Cordy for you. She was also caring, and again, I couldn't help but think how much both of them had changed since coming here from Sunnydale. Cordelia was more aware of other people and caring, and Wesley was less uptight, more comfortable in his own skin... sometimes, I couldn't even really remember that he and the uptight Watcher that Buffy had disliked so much were the same person ( ... )

I was already at the door, having it halfway open when Angel turned to Cordelia. Patiently I waited for her to reassure the vampire that she'd be fine on her own. Something I could've told him too. This was Cordelia we were talking about, princess of Pylea, and queen the word with the 'b' at high school. She'd be beyond just fine ( ... )

I nodded, following Wesley from the room as Cordelia scooped up the plates and silverware, bound for Fred's room. As I followed Wesley down the steps, I could hear Cordelia knocking on the Fred's door, and smiled ( ... )

Angel finally located the keys to his car, just when I started to wonder how much longer I was going to have to stand here being all embarrassed. The stupid sweats were too big, the shirt was too big. I resembled a little boy who was wearing his older brothers clothes and drowning in them ( ... )

As we drove, I glanced over at Wesley and said, "Yeah, I know what you mean..." After that, I didn't know what else to say, so I fell silent. As I drove, I noticed the clouds moving in; great, a rainy day... that meant Cordelia would be cheerfully cleaning inside the office again ( ... )

The driver over to my place was silent for the most part. Which was fine by me, I wasn't really in the mood for talking. To tired, and my head was starting to hurt again. Didn't really matter, just a good nights rest and that would be fine too. This is really the last time I'm going to stand in a slime demons projectory range ( ... )
