Fisherman is my friend

I've been going home slightly later this week, around 8pm, and twice I passed by this room where some students had a gamelan ensemble practice. As the sounds of the gamelan travelled out the room, I can't help but feel haunted by the music, as in I felt like my Javanese roots started to feel alive. But it is also eerily haunting in that this type of music is used in Kuda Kepang, a traditional Indonesian dance performed during special occasions. It's considered taboo as it delves with the supernatural (i.e. horse spirits that possess your body and you can do all sorts of crazy stunts like eat glass).

But I like it because it's mysterious. The music, not the being possessed part. Maybe I can perform my own version of Kuda Kepang one day. A modern twist to tradition. That is, find my long hair that mum keeps in her closet, clip it on and dance Gangnam style (learn from Ellen show =)) to gamelan music. Ha, gungho much. Lol, get it?

Anyways, I have been up since school began yesterday and it's because I stayed up all night doing questions on an online discussion forum due Friday, and the lecturer didn't state when, i.e. what time, it is due. It took a while because the questions are intellectual and I think like a bimbo sometimes, so it's hard to come with statements that don't contradict.  So yup, that's done, but I'm not tired, yet my neck is somewhat immobile now, I feel like a giraffe. And I guess my lack of sleep has also caused me to spout nonsense like this. But then again, I'm always thinking of lame stuff. Gonna catch up on some sleep. See you~

p.s. Typed 'the honey trees' as 'the hiney tress'. :D, Haha, fatigue = weirdness.
