It's my parentudes 41st Wedding Anniversary, Make Your Bed Day, and No News Is Good News Day!

Lastly, yes, 3,000 lives, give or take, were lost in senseless tragedy 5 years ago... but it was 5 years ago already. And look what the fuck it spawned:
1) An excuse for President-son-of-a-President to continue his daddy's war (without any worldwide sanction or support) in the name of religion and his own personal morality based soley upon religion. I don't care what other reasons he claims to have sent soldiers out there for, they've all proven to be bullshit. This is a religious war and there's no reason for it! Yes, I support the military, but not bullshit unsupported military actions!!
2) An extreme raise in gas prices, a helluva lot moreso than when his daddy's war began and gas prices first started to rise. We are not having an oil shortage, plus other countries are already using alternate fuels, so... uhm... why have gas prices risen so inhumanly again?
3) Death to free speech. Oh, yes, we can have our own personal opinions on things but if "God's President" thinks it's a threat to himself and his regime then you'll find his Homeland Security Division at your door for, I assume, treason. How American of him, neh?
4) Death to freedom of religion. He's already tried to pass several laws defining what is religion and what isn't, which would basically make any non-christian belief an illegal belief... thankfully none have passed, but they've barely not passed! This New Moral Nation that he's trying to create will only destroy what our freedoms are all about!
4a) Since it relates, he's also tried to define marriage claiming it has no purpose except when it pertains to procreation... once again a religion spawned ideal! Anyone and everybody should be able to marry no matter what their sex, their beliefs, their orientation, whatever! Marriage is the legal binding of two persons, not a religious or sacramental binding... they can do so if they please but that's not the legal aspect to it, and that's what he's trying to alter!
Gods, could I go on? Probably, but why? I'm sure smarter people than me can come up with more expansive and detailed listings of the atrocities our nation's leader has began under the guise of Saving America. Thank the gods he's in his last possible term... but... who's going to follow?
A (late) congratulations to my friends Danielle & Riva (now out in Vegas) and the birth of their third child, daughter Allison on 8/30! Woohoo!
