Dave got me Legend the other day, here is my letter to Universal Studios:
Concerning your latest release of "Legend"... Two days ago I recieved Legend as a gift. you have no idea how excited I was to get this, its my all time favorite movie. That night I popped it in my DVD player anxiously awaiting for the title menu to show up, and when it did, I noticed on the menu it read, "Play Directors Cut". Now, I looked back on the DVD case and it doesnt mention anywhere that this copy was solely the Directors Cut version of Legend. On the back it says, SPECIAL FEATURES: INCLUDES the Directors Cut... Includes as in "also features the Directors Cut". You may want to better your advertisement as where it never states that this release was only the Directors Cut. Now, the only reason Im writing to you about this is because I had never seen the Directors Cut and quickly realized what peice of crap it is, I cant even enjoy it. I feel decieved, false advertisement... You needed to mention it was the directors cut. My friend had no idea of what he was buying. Its says "LEGEND" on the case, and that isnt the movie that was on my DVD. I guess now Ill have to go and look for the Ultimate Edition LEGEND that came out last year that INCLUDES!!!, the Directors Cut that I already have, thanks to your fine sensibilities.
Ill accept any apology, I dont even understand why you would release the Directors Cut by its self... I see why you wouldnt advertise it though, considering what a peice of crap it is no one would buy it if they knew what it was. Thanks for you time.
