Lowest rung on the ladder.

I've managed to get a job as a production assistant on an independent film shooting in and around Boston. That means I am part gopher/part universal bitch. I get what neede to be got. In return, I get to see how a real movie set gets run. Of course, I think I could do just about everything better than the director of any given shoot, but then again I'm a vain jerk.

I'll have you note that this job is non-paying. That is, I'm flat broke. I'm ringing double-zeros. Nada. It looks like it's going to be either street perfrorming or selling my body to lonely stockbrokers.

You know, for a while there, I felt safe in assuming that the democratic party would eventually get over it's post-election craziness and form itself into a check against republican excesses. (Of which there are too many to count) but of course, I'm a moron. Along comes Senator Durbin (of illinois, i believe) who openly compares US soldiers to not just Nazis, but ALSO the operators of the gulags AND pol-pot's thugs. Combine this with the hilarious mock-impeachment John Conyers put on, and you've got a segment of the party that is rapidly driving the party proper into the dirt. Please people, don't leave things to the republicans.

Go see batman begins. If you can, see it on an IMAX screen. Christian Bale is excellent. And while you're at it, rent "the machinist" it's at every blockbuster, you have no excuse.

And if anybody's actually seeing this, would it KILL you to leave a comment once in a while. It's like giving a dramatic monologue to a stiff breeze out here. You could just leave a "." or something just to let me know you were here.

I finished a short script (35-36pgs) that I'm thrilled about. I'm tweaking here and there, but it is pretty much a locked down first draft. I have no idea what I want to do with it, but I think it's the best thing I've ever written. So yay for me.
