I am (quite happily) saying adieu to Taftville. Slowly, the apartment is turning into boxes, neatly labeled and taped shut. By the end of the night, everything but a change of clothes and our bed shall remain untouched. Tomorrow morning, we go to the bank to get the money order, pack up our last few things, and go to work. After work, we're picking up Chelsea's brother and we're off to New Hampshire to pick up Emmett. I'm hoping to get back before 4am. Wake up around 10am on Friday and begin the move.
We're going to get the keys and then get the cat and all of her stuff set up in the basement so that she can get used to her new surroundings. We're then going to return to Taftville, wake up Josh and Emmett, and load up our car while waiting for Alicia, Wayne, Mike, and Talia to come help. I'm hoping to get everyone to show up around noon. I really hope that the whole move can be accomplished in less than two hours. It's a short ride across town, so if we have to make two runs instead of one, it wont be a huge deal. After moving stuff and unpacking some, we're getting bombed. It's a good way to christen our new home. Getting drunk with friends! woo!
And if you're irritated that you weren't invited, chill. I didn't think that there would be too many volunteers between school and work. If you want to come, give me a call at some point tomorrow morning. And if you can't lift 50lbs, don't bother! (haha!)
