The evolution of life here on earth really took shape around the late 1800s or early 1900's, where certain men with certain theories really shook the solid foundations of belief of thier respected era. Charles Darwin disproved that God created man and the universe in six days with his "Theory of Evolution." The theory told of man evolving from ape, certainly thought provoking and caused widespread panick and doubt in the bible. For the first time ever, humans were questioning the bible and people reacted in many ways but mostly thought darwin was insane.
Another rather earth shattering discovery was the truth about women, and how thier brains are the same size as man, making them totally equal. Women would not lose thier children had they learned any form of higher education and at the time, this theory was also insane yet changed the world we live in, for the better of course.
If you think that was frightening for this century of people, than think about the first man who gazed upon and beyond the atmosphere, only to find that earth was no where near the center of the universe. Or even better, that the earth was not flat but spherical shaped.
By now your probably wondering, what is my point. Well you see, these earth shattering events happened in a span of only twenty or so years. In just twenty years, a mans belief in God and the bible was truly questioned many times. Now after thinking about all of these happenings, I thought back to the last revalation someone had in my time. since I am nearing 20 years old, i thought certainly my faith has been questioned and my belief in the normal life that i live been shooken. I thought of only one thing, that happened pretty recently. Pluto was in trial about whether or not it was in fact a planet. Juries out and it is a planet.. but they actually changed what we used to know as a planet to something else entirely. So now, we may get as many as three or even more planets added. My own girlfriend reacted to the close loss of pluto as tragic. It was certainly a change of the norm, and that scares people as we have seen so often in our short history.
Now the thing that has been bothering me, is that that is the ONLY thing i can remember being a change. And than, I realized. What if our government actually has the power to control this kind of change from the normal. What if they only reveal things when they feel the human race as a whole is ready for them. Maybe they knew about the other three potential planets 25 years ago and figured now would be a good time because we are finally ready for it. I know right now that the military reveals thier newest equipment ONLY when they have machinery that is already superior. The biggest and best military equipment that we have laid our eyes on, is already obsolete.
Now the question becomes, if im right.. will they EVER reveal that humans are not alone in this universe? Or that the microwave was alien technology of the 1960's when they first made contact at roswell, and Earth is infact VERY behind in the technology race? I say, why not?
