I have exactly five minutes to talk about this before I have to go out, but it occurs to me that I have been quite wrong about several things DGM-wise in the recent past, so I am going to lay off any speculation until further notice. I still have no idea about Theodore.

I have to fan myself from all the mystery. And that little hug Cross snuck in there.

lol what do you mean about Theodore? I think Cross was saying that he couldn't fault Theodore for being so attached to his apprentices anymore. I LOVE THEODORE.

And ahhh, the Cross hug. I just keep rereading this chapter. Amazing.

Yay and wow. The Thoedore thing. Oh man. And poor Allen. The question of who Mana actually loved is just too heart breaking.

For the record, I think Cross knows rather more than he's letting on (that seems to be the thing about Cross - everyone underestimates him all the time because that's what he wants them to do). I think he's got something up his pristine, lacy, perfectly tailored sleeve.

I know. Poor kid. He just can't seem to catch a break. But that's what makes him Allen, I guess.

And yes, I don't think Cross is earnestly laying his heart on the line in this chapter. There's something else going on. Oh, Cross.

Yes, this is, indeed, FUCKING HUGE as far as Cross characterization goes -- and, yeah, he's TOTALLY A LYING SACK OF LIES about not knowing how the Fourteenth got imprinted on the insides of Allen's skull. The whole flow up to the actual hug-and-admit, with Cross deliberately handing off his cigarette to Tim so he can really pet Allen's head? I CANNOT EXPRESS HOW MUCH THAT MADE ME LOVE THAT SCENE.

Oh, I wibbled so hard over this chapter.

I can see why Cross said he should have picked someone worthless. Maybe I didn't understand correctly, but eventually Allen will be completely taken over by the 14th. He will be the 14th, and Allen will no longer exist. I am so completely disturbed by that idea!

That line about worth just amazed me. I was on the phone with my sister going "CROSS. HE. HE BASICALLY SAID ALLEN IS WORTH SOMETHING. CROSS. AND HE HUGGED ALLEN. SQUEE SQUEE SQUEE" and she just kind of laughed awkwardly and pretended not to know me.

Why have your ovaries exploded, though? I mean, I'd think it'd be your brain or heart or something. Just... the ovaries?

Oh, erm. Ovaries. That's because I love Allen like he was my surrogate kid, and I love Cross in a very unchaste way, and both are completely hormonal reactions. Or something. Also it may or may not currently be one of those times where every reaction is somehow tied to that general area anyway >_>
