Summary - “I gotta find her Darc!” Sophie shot up stairs to put her Jeans and jumper on, and straight to Sian’s dads.
“Hey Sophh!” Darcy turned to see her roommate with tear stained cheeks, run up the stairs and slam her door shut. Sophie slid down the door with fresh tears falling, she wouldn’t let her back in, she couldn’t. Sophie was scared of being hurt all over again and Sian was the only person who knew her well enough to break her.
Darcy slowly walked up the stairs; she heard nothing but silence which slightly scared her. She reached Sophie room where she stopped and knocked very lightly, she got nothing and just as she went to speak the door bell went. Sighing, Darcy made her way to the door to find it was Sian. “Hi, I erm, erm need to talk to Sophie please?” Sian looked anywhere but Darcy’s eyes. “Well, she really isn’t in a great mood, especially for talking but maybe you could try getting her out of her room for me?” Sian nodded, realising Darcy didn’t know it was fault Sophie was upset in the first place but truth be known, Darcy knew it all and the only way to get Sophie out was to make her conquer her fears of Sian.
“Soph..?” Sian knocked on the door. Sophie froze, really not in the mood to do this with anyone epically Sian right now. “Just, leave me alone Sian” Sian Sighed and sat with her back to the door. “Look Sophie, you have to listen to me at some point, not to mention face me considering I’m back from my work trip..” Sian was stopped, “why can’t you just go back there, I don’t need..” Sophie stopped, and her head fell into her hands, she couldn’t say she didn’t need her because truth be told, she needed her more than anything or anyone in this world, she just couldn’t admit that after what happened.
“Soph! I said just listen ok” Sophie nodded even though she knew Sian couldn’t see it.
Sian took the silence as a sign to carry on, “two years ago, today exactly actually, I know I left you and broke your heart, and if you can believe me on this one thing, I am so sorry, and I know it seems a heck of a lot to late it’s better than never I guess.
I tried coming back a few days after I went, but I couldn’t bring myself to admit I was wrong for leaving you ok, we were perfect and I know that now it’s just back then it was all a little to much to handle. I Guess I was annoyed that you weren’t ready to come out as much as I was and it made me think you weren’t ready for us. And I know there isn’t much I can say right now apart from I’m sorry and I know you want me to leave you alone, so I’ll go”. With this, Sian got up and walked away, as much as she didn’t want to, she knew she had to go away again, it was a terrible idea coming back to weatherfield.
Sophie got up and opened the door to walk downstairs, she knew Sian was gone but right now she needed whatever advice she could get from Darcy. Darcy shot up room the bottom of the stairs once Sian came down, pretending she wasn’t listening and was now sat on the Sofa with the TV on. Sophie sat next to her; “Hey Beautiful” Darcy gave Sophie a lopsided smile, Sophie Sighed and laid her head on Darcy’s Knee. “I don’t know what to do Darc, help me?” Sophie let one single tear fall, Which Darcy gently wiped from her cheek. “I think, and this is just what I would do, I’d go after her Soph, because although she did leave she had the guts to come back here knowing fully well that you’d be here and she’d have to face you, it takes a good heart to try fix the broken and trust me babe, you’re broken and you know you are. Sian was there willing to fix you but you didn’t see that was giving you all she’s got in just one speech through a door” Darcy looked down to see Sophie let another tear fall, she knew she’d got to Sophie and that’s what it would take to make her see Sian was there to mend her again. Darcy began stroking Sophie’s hair gently.
Sophie shot up, realising she’d fallen asleep on Darcy’s knee, who was still only just opening her eyes and adjusting to the light from the TV. “I gotta find her Darc!” Sophie shot up stairs to put her Jeans and jumper on, and straight to Sian’s dads.
“I’m Sorry Sophie, she isn’t here she left for the airport around 4am, her flight is in 30 an hour” Sophie nodded at him and ran towards the house to grab her keys. It was a 40 minute drive to the airport, but if she put her foot down she could do it in 20, well she hoped she could.
I'm breaking down,
I just can't take it anymore,
Oh no, I won't, let you go,
You know I'm coming for you.
No matter what it's gonna take,
I gotta make this move,
You know, that I just,
You know I'm coming for you.
“Oh just bloody move already!” Sophie started screaming t the cars trying to park in front of her. She pulled up and ran out of her car and straight to the bookings desk. “Hi and welcome to Manchester airport, how may I help?” Sophie sighed, knowing this probably wouldn’t work, “someone I need to see has got a flight 20 minutes to New York, is there any way at all I could see her before she boards, it is very important?” Sophie was tapping her foot, ready to run when the women said it was ok, “I’m sorry miss, it isn’t possible without a boarding pass and your passport” Sophie sighed and nodded at the women and began walking towards the exit, which is where she turned suddenly and ran as fast she possibly could and made her way towards the boarding area.
With security running after her, she made a sudden turn and another to hide behind an open door, All 5 security men ran passed her and she carried on her run towards the plane heading for New York. Once reached the gate, she heard the words she dreaded speak through the speaking above her..
“Flight 417 to New York - all boarding gates closed and ready for take off”
At this point the Security men ran up and took a grip on Sophie, who had let the tears fall when she realised her attempt to get her girl back, failed..again.
