Meta-Fandom, huh?
*quirks an eyebrow at Fallen’s peeps, amused* I suspected y’all needed your heads examined, and now I have proof.
In that case…

…and so welcome to our first segment! If you ever think you don’t have enough appreciative audience members to fill a fandom (er, meta-fandom), please reconsider your math and state of rationality.
Really, the math is either simple arithmetic or covered in basic trigonometry. So if you can add and multiply, and disapply illogic, you’re good.
First, the trig version. Those of you who are graduates from Spiral should have already learned these definitions:
- When people post "I am so hooked!" statements, especially ones with exclamation points, you and your writing are loved.
- When people present you with awesome ficart gifts, you and your writing are loved.
- When people post about your characters as if they’re nearby interacting with them, (and hopefully not doing what I think they’re implying they’re thinking of doing, O.o), you and your writing are loved.
- When people even spend time to mix soundtracks for your characters, you and your writing are loved.
These definitions can then be further applied in the Theorem for Proof of Fandom (er, Meta-Fandom). Which is basically thus: If conditions 1 through 4 are met, you have earned yourself a super-sparkly-shiny-scrumptious fandom (er, meta-fandom) all your own.
If you ever want to check your work, the basic arithmetic version is easy, (and more up my alley.)
First, you point at me. *demonstrates* What am I? I am but a single enraptured fan with a journal. Multiply me and my gleefulness by the number of readers who’ve commented. Then multiply us by the Lurker factor to account for my former compatriots.
*busily calculates, then pauses*
Your fandom, (er, meta-fandom), is a well-populated ‘dom. And quite possibly in need of national head examinations if the rest of the denizens are anything like me. *whistles*

Anywho, wanted to introduce the first segment post something before I head out for a couple days to prepare for a wedding, (and finish my overdue project.
darksideofstorm and I have similar priority order. ^^ )
