I absolutely LOVE my new apartment. I don't love watching my money slip away on things I thought I already had covered, but I LOVE making my own rules, keeping things at my own volumes, buying the foods I like to eat, and not having to tip-toe around anybody else. It's very liberating, truly and honestly.
It's so liberating, in fact, that I've decided to start hosting BBQ Sundays with my friends. Mostly, it's a small group right now (but that's kind of how it should be, BBQ's in small groups is almost always better than huge BBQ's where people get lost in the crowd, ya know?). I hope to meet some of my new neighbors, because this complex is amazingly quiet, as far as social activity goes. I've seen two or three walking around, but other than that, it's like I'm living here alone. Anyway, I look forward to hosting my first cook-out this weekend (and if the weather decides to be naughty and dump a million gallons of water on us, we will still gather at the pad, and BBQ will turn into Movie Night! My place is big enough to host 20 people in the living room comfortably (of course, I only have chairs for 12, but still, plenty of floor space), so rain or shine, the gathering shall be on!
Other than moving, not much new has been going on, work is a little hectic, I've decided I'd rather not date anybody right now (and oddly, the want to have a significant other has nearly vanished), and I'm looking forward to getting back into working out. I hope all is well in your worlds as well. Until next time, faithful readers and true believers...
