An Arkham City fic.

Summary: During the events of Arkham CIty, Kon hears Tim call for help and rushes to his aid. But when he reaches Gotham, all traces of Tim are gone. So now it's up to Kon to dress up as Robin and enter the city to find Tim himself.

Note: Someone commented that Tim from Arkham looks like Kon more then Tim as Robin. So it got me thinking and this lovely idea popped into my head.

Pairings: Tim/Kon, Bruce/Selina, and maybe Dick/Babs

Warning: There are spoilers from the game in this, so don't read if you want to ruin the game for you.

Part 1

Since his ‘birth’, Kon had learned long ago that he was not welcomed into Gotham. Actually it wasn’t really him that wasn’t welcome it was just all outside metas period that weren’t welcome. The old bat got it in his head that any meta that was not native to Gotham attend to bring trouble when they came into the city. Which is why the whole ‘metas banned’ thing, and the only time you can get into Gotham is if you get permission from Batman himself to enter. Which was a pain in the ass for Kon since that’s where his boyfriend lives.

Anytime he wanted to see Tim, be it to spend time with him or if he was feeling horny, (the second seems to happen a lot) he would have to ask Batman to come into the city. And that’s never fun, especially when Batman goes all Daddy Bats and knows that you’re screwing one of his little Robins behind his back. So instead of asking permission, Kon just sneaks into Gotham with Tim’s help, which is pretty much the reason why he was now permanently banned from Gotham when Batman caught them both on the roof of one of tallest buildings in the city, in an intimidating postion. (which Superboy was sure caused the bat to see red at.) After that everything else was kind of an embarrassing blur to Kon when Batman dragged him all the way out to the edge of the city, giving him his best bat glare and banned him from Gotham right there.

Kon groaned for the fifth, slumping over his history homework as he thought about Tim. God he missed him! It’s been about three weeks now since he’s seen Robin after they got caught by the Bat. He hasn’t showed up the Titan Tower either for the past few weeks, causing the team to worry a little until Nightwing informed them that Robin was ‘grounded’ and won’t be back with the Titans until further noticed. And during that whole time, Nightwing kept giving Kon a look that he wasn’t so sure if she should feel embarrassed or scared. And after the other Titans left, leaving them both alone, was when Kon quickly figured he should be scared when Nightwing threaten him and demand to know about their relationship (and when he said relationship he really meant their sexual relationship). But oh, if you think that was bad enough, the talk with Clark had was much worse. As soon as Superboy returned to the Kent Farm, after Batman kicked him out, Clark was there waiting for him. Apparently after he and Tim were caught, Batman called up Superman and chewed him out about keeping the clone out of his city and all that. So the talk with Clark was very awkward and only got worse when he asked (with a red face) if he and Tim have been sexually active. After that Superboy just wanted to die in embarrassment.

So with Tim being ‘grounded’ Kon was on his own with his homework, struggling to keep his grades up above a C average. For the first week, he didn’t have any trouble keeping up with his work without Tim’s help. But when second week came, that’s when he started to struggle.

Scribbling down a few sentences, Kon stopped and looked at what he wrote before he growled out in frustration and crumbled the paper into a ball and threw it over his shoulder. That was the seventh try for his history report on King Hennery the IIIV. Seriously, that guy was a whacko for killing all his wives because they couldn’t give him a boy when it was really his fault. The males decide the sex of the baby, not the females. At least that’s what Tim told him when they went over the human body for science last year.
He groaned, slumping over his table. Tim. He missed him so much. Three weeks seems like forever to him since he last saw his boyfriend, now going on to four weeks.

I wonder what he’s doing right now? He thought. Probably brooding in front of the bat computer, solving a crime or something, while Batman is off doing god knows what.

From what he’s heard from Clark, Batman hasn’t been active with the Justice League lately and been busy with a big project he’s working on. What the project was, no one outside of Gotham knows, just that it’s all hush hush and other heroes form Gotham are keeping quiet when asked about it. Actually, with all the secrets coming from Gotham lately, Kon couldn’t help but wonder if Robin was already in with all the secrets going on there.

Better not do anything stupid, Birdboy.

“Conner.” He lifted his head when he heard Pa call. “Conner, could you come down for a moment.”

“I’m kind of busy Pa. I have to write this stupid report by Wedesday.” He called back, starting a new page.

“I think you’ll want to see this, son.”

Kon sighed, pushing back from his desk, and homework, and headed down stairs. “There better be an emergency happening in the world, I have to write ten pages of King Hennery by tomorrow.”

Pa didn’t answer, focusing on the tv in the living. Ma sat on the couch, turning up the volume on the satellite tv that Lois and Clark gave to them last year for Christmas. The tv was set on a news report with a familiar blonde haired woman dressed in a black leather jacket as she stood in front of a dark gloomy snowy background. It was Vicky Vale, that’s why she looked familiar to him. Kon remembered Tim bitching about her a few times about how annoying she can be and always sticking her nose into the bat family’s business.

“What’s going-“ Ma hushed him, listening to Vicky.

“This is Vicky Vale reporting live from Arkham City, the controversial super-prison built right here in the heart of Gotham.”

Kon raised an eyebrow. "Arkham City?” he asked out loud but was quickly hushed again by both Pa and Ma, before taking a seat by Ma.

“In a few moments, Bruce Wayne will be live on stage to explain his sudden interest in Gotham politics. The infamous playboy millionaire has never been one to-“

“It’s billionaire, Vicky,” Just then Bruce Wayne appeared on screen, walking by Vicky and heading towards the stage set up behind them, “Millionaires are so last year.”

Photographers blocked Kents’ view from Bruce as they quickly swarm around him as he got on stage. A few short seconds later he appeared at the podium and spoke out to the crowd. “Thank you! Thank you, Gotham. Imprisoned behind these walls, gang leaders are fighting a bloody war in the middle of our once great city. Every inmate from Arkham Asylum and Blackgate Prison has been relocated to this facility. How can this be safe for the people of Gotham?”

Superboy was wondering the very same thing. He remembered the events of Arhkam Asylum last year when Robin gave him the details. He remembered it was pretty bad then.

Was the prison and the asylum still in that bad of a shape to place all the inmates in this city?

“Today, I’m starting the campaign to close Arkham City down and make Gotham safe again.”

Before he could continue on, men dressed in black, equipped with weapons swarmed around Bruce Wayne, smoke bombs going off as reporters and photographers scatter away. The last thing that the Kents saw was one of the guys hitting Bruce with butt of his gun before the screen went blank.

No one said anything and just stared at the screen for the longest time until Ma turned off the tv.

-----------------

Later that night, Kon stared up at ceiling from his bed, playing the news report from Gotham over and over in his head. The whole news report was disturbing, but mostly seeing Batman himself getting butted in the head like that.

Something was wrong.

Something is going down in the city, something bad. Call it a gut feeling or a sixth sense but Conner can see trouble when it was right in front of him. He just wished he could quickly swing over to Gotham and see what was up himself. But he was banned from the city until further notice and he didn’t want to get on Batman’s bad side anymore then he already is. If something was going down in that place he’s pretty sure the whole bat family was on it, including Tim. And that’s what’s scares him.

Tim was small, fragile, and delicate, to Superboy opinion at least. When they’re together he has to be careful around Tim, making sure he doesn’t snap him like a twig. Tim was still human after all and not a super like him or Cassie. But he was also strong, stronger than most enemies that the Titans have ever faced and proved over and over to the super community that he wasn’t a weak fragile human, but a dangerous opponent that shouldn’t be taken lightly.

And that’s what Kon loved about Tim.

Sighing, Kon rolled onto his side and curled up under the covers, willing himself to sleep and push the news report out of his mind. It took almost a half an hour later for him to will himself to sleep before he finally started to drift off into slumber and dreamland.

Just as Kon was on edge of consciousness when a harsh, pain intake of breath echoed into his ear, “Superboy!”

Conner’s eyes shot open as he quickly shot up in his bed, his face pale as he stared out his window while one thing only raced in his mind.

“Tim.”
