So it was requested of me that the ceremonies from Erik and Caro's wedding be put up online so interested parties could look at it. So here we go.
Caro and Erik want to welcome you to this celebration of their love for one another. Each of you has given something special to their lives. Thank you for sharing one of life's happiest moments with them. May you be as important a part of their lives tomorrow as you are today.
Now lets get on to the good stuff.. Dearly Beloved…yada yada, love, yada yada, beholding, mumble mumble, flock of chimps. What? Oh here we go.
I have known both Erik and Caro for some time. I have seen how well they work together. Caro, being the organized one with an eye to the future and here feet firmly in today. Erik, breading chaos where ever he goes to make sure life is never boring. Together they are able to find balance with them selves. And so today their lives become one.
I have been fortunate enough to spend time with both these two on many occasions. I have seen them apart as well as together. I have talked with then about the hopes and fears they have had for each other. To see them here today shows me that the dreams have come true and the fears have been dispelled.
Both together and alone they have had many trials and obstacles in getting to this point in their lives, and they shall have more that they shall encounter as time goes on. But from this point on, they shall not have to face them alone. They shall both have the strength and support of the other.
Caro and Erik have selected their own vows for this special occasion.
I give you this ring as a symbol of my love
, I choose you as the person with whom I will spend my life.
With all that I am, and all that I have, I love you
I will cherish our friendship and love you today, tomorrow, and forever.
I will trust you and honor you,
I will laugh with you and cry with you.
I will love you faithfully.
Through the best and the worst,
Through the difficult and the easy.
Whatever may come, I will always be there.
As I have given you my hand to hold.
So I give you my life to keep.
And I will make my home in your heart from this day forward.
I now pronounce you Husband and Wife. You may grope the bride.
