today was the much-anticipated day, april fools day, in my opinion, the most underappreciated holiday there is. Anyway, it started with me going to wal mart to buy film for ryans camera because ryan is way too lazy to do it himself. anyway, i got to school, sat through professor of bialogy jill brannoff's class, then it was on to second period, where some more plans were made. ryan made the card for me because i was "moving" and today was my "last day" and he passed it around the class and a lot of people signed, it most of them thinking i was actually moving. fast forward to fourth period, by this time a lot of people had heard about it. there were some emotional moments, and there was also dave getting called out of class to get his car off of the cinder blocks. canada and me look at each other and we both bust out laughing. ahh, i love a holiday that encourages petty vandalism of other's cars. so after fourth, i stuff my bookbag in my locker and head of to "say goodbye" to everyone at lunch. first up was jill. she comes in, signs my card, we get a nice picture with ryan holding the "april fools day initiative" sign. jill walks away, still completely believing it. ryan goes to get lane, she didnt fall for it so well, maybe becausing were always joking with her and stuff in foods class. i guess you could say we "cried wolf" but ill be damned if i'm gonna learn a lesson from it. then, we brought catherine over, got a good picture with her but i always suspected she was too smart to fall for it, and as always i turned out to be right. so, by the end of the day people are coming up to me like "MARK I CANT BELIEVE YOUR LEAVING" and i didnt even tell them i was. so im guessing there are still people who think today was my last day. i think ill have some explaining to do tommorrow. i just think its funny how few people figured out it was just a little suspicious that my last day just so happened to fall on april 1st. anyway, im pretty proud of this, its one of the only things iive done in my life that i can be really proud of. i bet this is one of the best april fools day jokes in the history of east forsyth, but what can i say, im not a visionary, im just an ordinary kid who wondered what would happpen if he pulled off an elaborate april fools day joke that took several months to plan. so heres the final statistics: months of planning: several. people who signed my going away card: 23. people who i had convinced but didnt sign the card: 15-20. pictures: forthcoming. on another note, i was reading the talon today and i think its really funny how canada is qouted as justin "canada" blair in there not once but twice. and not a single mark the shark. i get no respect
