February 6th: Talk about musicals other than Les Miz.
daybreak777 Gladly! I love musicals. I love the musicals so much that I watched almost three seasons Glee, sitting through a lot of auto-tuned pop covers that weren't at all to my taste, just in the hopes of seeing them do a great showtune occasionally, usually courtesy of Lea Michele or Chris Colfer,

I love the musicals so much that I watched almost three seasons Glee That IS dedication!! I love musicals too but I could only make it through like 1.5 seasons of it. Did you like Spring Awakening? I knew Lea Michele from that & am excited she's getting a wider audience, even if Glee is... not... great.
Can I ask why this was musicals besides Les Miz? Is that your favorite or your least favorite? (Or just the asker's least favorite maybe). I like Les Miz okay myself but it's not in my top 5.
My biggest wish is that more musicals would release "filmed live on Broadway/stage" DVDs like Rent and JCS have done. Movie adaptations are fine, but I tend to prefer the stage version.
As we've discussed, I love Hedwig!! 100% dedicated to trying to see it when it's revived in NYC this spring. Sigh.
I love Cabaret, too! Once I saw it with John Stamos as the emcee, which was... I don't really know why that happened. But he wasn't bad!

I think Les Miz is just the main musical we've talked about together. I loved Les Miz a lot when I first saw the 10th anniversary concert but these days I wouldn't count it as one of my big faves either. I had very mixed feelings on the movie. Well Javert is my favorite character and I feel I'm never going to recover from Russell Crowe murdering 'Stars'.
Is that the Neil Patrick Harris version of Hedwig. Good luck getting to see it! The live version I saw was a small production at the Edinburgh festival but the lead actor was terrific.

Hahahaha Russell Crowe's whole performance was just like, aw buddy, you tried :( Have you seen June Diane Raphael & Casey Wilson's version of "The Confrontation"? If not, I really cannot recommend it highly enough.

Yes, NPH's version. Thank you! If I can work it out, I will assuredly blog about it.
