Just figured out (yes figured) that I am 20 in 3 months. Yikes. It causes for a celebration of growing a beard or something. There is actually a beard society at this university, and people say we're a bunch of wasters.
Anyways, just spent the last 2 hours avoiding doing any work and chances are I will leave here not really doing much.
I've looked on the Cold War module website and can't find any reading material, my uni doesn't seem to want to print us module handbooks, or enough of them. I don't understand what they are up to really, they started doing construction work during freshers week that will continue for the next 3 months. What were they doing for the 3 months commonly known as summer break? silly people.
I've just seen P Diddy walk into the library. This is exciting! (Not the actual P Diddy just my flatmate). Think I might go home and eat something, then play around on guitar and record things because in actuality I will have a free flat and get some quiet which is good. It has actually dawned on me I have been back a month now, only actually in my 2nd week of studying as such. Have I learnt much? Not really. Had a British India lecture this morning and a lot of it went straight over my head.
Buying a guitar has suffered a set back, firstly there is a trip to Berlin I want to go on that costs the same amount as a guitar (typical) and also there is Glastonbury and other pusuits to take into account. It's more of a case of letting my parents down but to be honest, I'm starting to appreciate not really thinking of the consequences. Like some of the stuff I am buying is beneficial. Well partially. Bought a book about pub facts lol. (Did you know there might be a stash of Victorian porn underneath Cleopatra's Needle on the embankment?)
Anyway shall go get some books out. I was researching about the place I am living in and came across a mini historic discovery but I am a bit uncertain at the moment. I did however meet a policeman (off duty) who said he had been in the inn when it was open. He said he'd only been a police officer for a few months and was currently dealing with a double murder. Sounds like a laugh. Also if I see a dog around these days I am more than likely to avoid it x
