Title: Keeping Jinu Happy

Fandom: Big Bang

Pairing/characters: GTOP, Youngbae, Jinu(oc)

Warnings: Babies, man crush, fluff

Summary: Jinu was Jiyong'a nephew, a cute eleven month old baby that liked

Author's Note: In five parts, I give you part one of the story you all voted for! :D (Also, those of you who don't know Korean, "appa" is daddy in Korean.) (Side note, even though my dad is American, I call him appa. He replies normally. My mom says to me(in Korean) "He's American, don't expect him to know Korean. Call him 'Daddy' or 'Dad' in English." My dad tuns around on her and says in English "I do to know Korean! I just can't speak it!")(Moral of the story, Appa means daddy.)

“Sit down and stop pacing!”

Kwon Jiyong was eighteen. Barely. Just out of high school, actually. He had done pretty well. He thought about going to a university. He would have done well. Maybe even go to America to study, after a few years. He could have become a doctor. Or maybe a singer. That was his hidden dream. The one only Youngbae knew about.

Speaking of Youngbae-“Ji, sit down. Breathe. Drink some water. Calm down. And stop fucking pacing.”

Jiyong looked over at his best friend and gave him a weary smile. “Thanks Youngbae. But no.”

Youngbae rolled his eyes and Jiyong continued his pacing. “What the hell am I supposed to do?” Jiyong finally asked. “I have a nephew to take care of! That won't have a mother growing up! Do you know how hard life was because I didn't have a mother? Or a father? I had a sister. And now she's gone too! What the hell am I supposed to do?”

Youngbae kept quiet. A smart move.

Jiyong sat down across from Youngbae and put his head in his hands. “I don't want to stay here. It reminds me too much of Dami. But I can't afford anything! And what about Jinu? I need to buy food, diapers, toys. He's a growing boy! He turns one soon! How the hell am I supposed to pay for all that?”

“What about Jinu's dad?”

Jiyong fell silent as he remembered the man that was Jinu's father. A taller man with a handsome face. Striking. Jiyong remembered commenting to his sister about how handsome he was. She had snorted and replied that he could have the man for all she cared.

He had stayed with Dami, as she refused to have an abortion. It was a life, she had said. A life growing inside of her and she wanted to something right for a change.

Jiyong hadn't seen much of the father because he was in school while the man worked at night, but he knew him by looks. He and Dami never stayed together, but despite a failed relationship, he offered money to help her and Jinu. Maybe he would help again.

“I don't know his name. Jinu took his family name, so I know that he's a Choi. But there are so many fucking Chois! Where do we start?”

There was knock at the door at the end of Jiyong's sentence and both Youngbae and Jiyong looked at it oddly. “Did you invite anyone?” Jiyong asked.

“No. And I'm guessing you didn't either?”

“No.”

A few seconds went by before the knocking commenced again, but this time it woke Jinu up. “Damnit,” Jiyong whispered under his breath.

“You get the door,” Youngbae said as he stood up. “I'll take care of Jinu.”

“Thanks, 'Bae.”

Jiyong moved into the small entrance hall and looked through the peephole before answering the door, but his breath caught when he saw that it was Jinu's father, the handsome young man.

Jiyong opened the door with a smile. “Hey!”

“Ah,” the man said in a dreadfully monotonous voice. “You must be Jiyong.”

Jiyong nodded his head slowly. “I am. And you are?”

“Apparently uninvited to your home.”

“And rude.” Jiyong gave the man a glare before moving to the side. “Come in, no name. Make yourself at home as I fall over myself to make you comfortable.”

What was it about this man? Jiyong had always admired him from afar, but he seemed blatantly rude. He hadn't even said but two lines and Jiyong already disliked him. This Choi whatever-his-name-might-be.

The man stepped into the small apartment and looked around with an air of arrogance. “Such a small place. No place for a child to be raised. Jinu should be raised in a house. With a nice backyard for him to play in. Maybe even a dog.”

Jiyong looked at the man with a look of disbelief on his face. This man, the father of Jiyong's nephew, walked into his home and stripped it of any value it may have had, disregarding any feeling Jiyong might have felt.

“Well, good thing you're not the one raising Jinu.”

“Jiyong? Is something wrong?”

Jiyong turned to see Youngbae holding a gurgling Jinu in his arms. “Nothing. This is Jinu's father. Jinu's father, this is Dong Youngbae, a family friend that has helped me in the past week.”

Youngbae smiled and did a half bow, or as much as he could with Jinu is his arms. “Nice to meet you!”

The man nodded his head and his face returned to its original bored look. “My name is Seunghyun. Choi Seunghyun. We were just discussing Jinu's living status,” the man explained.

“Oh! Jiyong was just talking about it. If he could afford anything else, he would move somewhere nicer, but because he just graduated high school he's only got this apartment, and he has to pay rent for it. He has to start looking for a job and a sitter. It's all a mess.”

Choi Seunghyun. Jiyong wasn't sure who he hated more at the moment: the man holding the child or the father of that child. How could Youngbae just tell the man everything like he just did? He felt betrayed! Hurt. Angered.

“Pa!”

Jiyong looked over at Jinu and held out his arms for the kid. Jinu moved and waived his arms at Jiyong, asking to be transferred. “That's right, I'm your 'pa'. Say 'appa'!”

“Pa pa!”

Jiyong grinned like a mad man and nodded his head. “That's right. I'm your father. Not this meanie over here.”

“He can't stay here,” Seunghyun spoke up. “You're in a pitiful situation with no money, no job, and no more options. But I can give you one.”

Jiyong turned to Seunghyun with a glare. “An option? What can you offer me that I can't do myself?”

The smile on the man's lips did something to Jiyong's stomach, making it turn in and out while turning on itself. As if he were (dare he say it?) attracted to the man. Still.

“Move out of here and come live with me. I'll feed you and take care of Jinu. In return, you have to do something for me.”

“Something?” Jiyong asked warily. “What's this 'something'? Illegal? I don't do illegal. Or painful.”

Seunghyun laughed and Jiyong's stomach flipped again. “No. Well, not physically painful. Be my live-in maid. Clean up after me. Keep things tidy. Cook. Take care of Jinu.”

That last phrase. It made everything less painful. Jiyong was painfully well kept, always clean and tidy. He could also cook. Well, not much, but it wasn't dismal. But he would have never done any of that for Seunghyun if it weren't for that last line. Taking care of Jinu was what he wanted to do. If he could have a job, a house, and a happy Jinu, Jiyong was also happy.

Jinu gurgled in his arms and Jiyong made up his mind. “Fine. I'll work for you in your home. Be your 'live-in maid' as you call it.”

“Perfect. I'll have some men come down and get all your stuff from here. Just get the bare basics for yourself and Jinu and I'll take you to my place now.”

Jiyong nodded and handed Jinu to Youngbae. “Watch him as I pack.”

“It would be easier if you gave Jinu to Seunghyun while I helped you,” Youngbae reasoned. Jiyong glared at Seunghyun and Youngbae in turn. He was right, but Jiyong feared that Seunghyun would run off with the baby.

“Fine,” he replied slowly. Youngbae handed off Jinu to Seunghyun and helped pack all of Jinu's stuff into a single bag. Jiyong packed himself a small duffle that was filled with clothes alone. Once done, he returned to where Seunghyun and Jinu were playing on the couch in the living room.

“I'm really doing this,” he whispered to himself. “I'm really moving out and living with another man.”

“Another man that's not me,” Youngbae added as he walked up behind Jiyong. “That was my back-up plan. To let you move in with me while you worked during the day. But this is better. He seems to have a steady job.”

He was referring to the nice suit Seunghyun was wearing and Jiyong had to agree, the man looked well off.

“Just agree with me,” Youngbae whispered. “I know you don't want to, but you know it's true.”

Jiyong kept silent as he continued to watch Seunghyun and Jinu. Seunghyun seemed happy and entertained with keeping the baby's attention on him. He wondered what it would be like to raise a kid with Seunghyun. But didn't he want to raise enough money to live on his own and support Jinu by himself? To be on his own?

“Are you ready?” Seunghyun asked as he stood up, Jinu still happy in his arms.

“Yeah.”

“Then, to your new home.”
